Shadow having known he was part Black Arms 50 years ago doesn't really change anything because he got amnesia. He doesn't get his memory back until very late or after Shadow the Hedgehog, so by then he's already re-learned that fact.

I think we can assume that with his amnesia during Shadow 05 that he forgot about his Black Arms origins. SA2 Shadow knew, Shadow 05 didn't due to amnesia. Also, in the Japanese version of SA2, it is straight up confirmed by Gerald that he "has complete control" of Shadow's memory, meaning he altered and manipulated Shadow's memories of Maria.

I think the reason he didn't acknowledge Black Doom in SA2 (besides him not being written yet lol) is because he's disgusted in the fact that he is part of Black Doom so he never talked about it and obviously during the events of Sonic Heroes and a good part of Shadow the Hedgehog he had memory loss.

Shadow lost his memories after SA2 and didn't start remembering anything until "Shadow The Hedgehog." So whatever modifications Gerald might have made were knull and void after SA2, and Shadow is probably just getting his true memories back bit by bit as life goes on.

You guys realize that the boy is the cause of the Ark raid right? You can see it on his face. He wants nothing to do with Shadow or the Black Arms. His fear killed Maria. Which explains why in the Shadow the Hedgehog game, he says "Its time we finished this". I always thought he was some loose tie-in excuse for Sega to have a new minor character but he really is the one that contacted GUN to shut down the Ark. I used to think it was some random scientist but without a doubt, its the boy's fault.

To be honest with you HMK I believe it was the Biolizard and not Shadow that got reprogrammed. It was 'determined' to keep the Ark on a collision course to earth. That Death Leech possibly escaped containment during the GUN raid and survived for 50 years aboard Space Colony Ark, plenty of time to grow and learn from its surroundings. It's probably that thing that has been reaching out to Shadow from episode 1. Doesn't know human language so it communes with Shadow via memetic visions. Since they're both Black Arms.

The voice direction comes from team sonic racing. It's not a great direction, Rouge's voice actor should use the deeper voice of forces in my opinion

Shadow knowing that he was created by alien blood is either a retcon, or he just forgot, since he lost his memoires 2 times after all, once in heroes and once in SA2. OR he just knew all along but he didn't know it was Black Doom's blood back in 05
