Wow. That was impressive. I need to look a little closer at shadow hills.

Nice overview, thanks! Cool track: the Iron summing had most glue, the Nickel was more subtle and velvety, and the Steel more upfront and bright. Sounds great.

The vocals sound great! Tell me please, what is the name of the microphone? Drums are good too. What recording technique did you apply?

Are Shadow Hills and Golden Age Project related? I always hear abput Golden Age preamps when talking about Shadow Hills, or does it mean something else?

Sadly outside of my budget for the foreseeable future but this is the kind of analog gear I want to see more of...color boxes for imparting analog tone to digital recordings. If it had some saturation control it might be something I’d go over budget for but still very cool.

The gain knob + transformer choice is the saturation on this unit methinks.
@tokyomassa224 жыл бұрын
louderthangod you might get saturation by driving the preamps after summing.

Hi, I have a two peoce vocal setup for live gigs.... Would this be good for vocals? I got the Apollo MKII but the vocal presence ain’t good...

How would you compare the sound/quality of this unit to the Neve 5060 and 5059?

Yeah, but that was a $10,000 microphone you were using, too.
