The keyboardist of Fleshgod Apocalypse did the orchestration on this track just like last time on the Melancholy album. It is such a great combo.

That explains why its mixed like that. The Keyboard / symphonic elements on reclaimer and primordial sound much better
@GamingSaurusRexYTube3 жыл бұрын
@@frederickkorth1481 i disagree, even though reclaimer is my favorite album from SoI. the orchestration on reclaimer sounds far less organic than it does on melancholy and this single.

I wouldn’t consider this one of their best songs, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s a pummeling banger with an epic chorus and awesome solo. Can’t wait for the album, hopefully it’ll be announced soon since all the teasers on their instagram stories basically confirm that it is coming.

Personally, I love the video. It fits them as a band and the song very well. It doesn't isolate one member of the band, as let's how the video for To the Hellfire focused on Will a lot. This video showed everyone equally, which is how Shadow of Intent is. The song, lyrically, is very bleak and that blue overtone help showcase that. Also the song is very straight forward, no holds barred, and the video is that.. straight forward..no flash, just subtle nuisances that stick out.

Found a solid drummer he’s a beast… they have an impressive lineup now for the progression to symphonic death metal. This track was brutally aggressive all the way through and I loved it 🤘🏻

SOI: So yeah we need heavy drums. Drummer: Say no more. *Maintains constant 200 BPM double kicks* Fucking monster. Definitely liked it decently on first listen, but after multiple listens, woof. Song's definitely a banger.

Hopefully they'll have an excellent instrumental track on this album too. The Dreaded Mystic Abyss was/is great.

People always talk about melancholy, but almost never give primordial or reclaimer =(
@New95003 жыл бұрын
Not that strange really, I think Melancholy was spread the widest bot in and outside the Metal sphere. Also seems like people think they are "Transitioning into Death Metal" but I see it more like they're just doing whatever they want, like they have been doing from the beginning. It's not like their previous works have all been the same.

That was okay but not as good as some other brutal death metal I've heard such as Skinless and Heads For the Dead.
@AshlandTalos3 жыл бұрын
Not entirely sure if brutal death metal was what they were going for. More just a sort of lightly symphonic death metal, like they're transitioning from deathcore to death metal while keeping some of the more identifying aspects of what made them stand out

theyre not brutal dm

@@GamingSaurusRexYTube What would you label them as then? That didn't sound like any deathcore ive heard.
