As a pretty serious casual player I had a ng+ save file with 16 full game completions and countless time attack runs. There are so many tricks I never knew. Totally going to replay this game tonight.

I like to imagine this is how Wander actually killed these Collosi. Running along Barba's arm to jump on his face, leaping from Gaius's sword, attacking Phaedra head on, killing Phalanx in under two minutes... hype

Keep in mind he's doing the time attacks, which takes out all of the running across the whole map to get to them. It'd probably be 1:30 if he played it normally. I've been playing SoTC since 2008 and I still take a little over 2hrs to beat. Super impressive

I remember rinsing this game back on ps2 and discovering some of these, for an example on the 3rd colosssus you can use the sword to catapult yourself on to his head, and while flying on Avaion if done right you can let go and land right at the very end of his tail, fighting the lizard you can do a huge plung attack destroying one of the two weak spots also on the torch boar you can instantly kill him by doing a plung attack from from the top it's tricky to pull of though.

idk if its just me but i was a little upset that the guy explained the main story line as a girl is a sleep and the guy fights the colossus. From what i rememher the girl is dead and the guy brought her to the forbidden lands because he believes he can bring her back to life there. then he has to take down all 16 colossus to bring her back to life but in doing so he gains all this darkness. i figured people that are this good and love the game as much as i do would know that. unless they changed the storyline when it came to ps3?

I've never played this but I've always wanted to. I thought the majority of the game is riding your horse around to find the colossus? How is he skipping straight to the fights?

I'm trying some of these :P I actually managed to do Hydra after many many tries and lucky RNG because he came up one last time for a split second xD The underwater rolls are hard to get down. Really let's you appreciate speed runners! :D

Is the PS2 version different? On Phalynx my Agro won't run through the temple and the bull one seems to span too close and stun locks me when I go through the 2 pillars o.o

I figure you don't give a shit about this anymore since it's been so long but the American PS2 version has differences. You start immediately in a time attack, even before the timer starts, which saves significant time. However, some bosses have behavioral changes. You can't jump to the second boss's horn, which makes the fastest strategy impossible. During the cutscene of the 6th boss, where he breaks the first wall, you won't have control of your character like you would in the PS3 version. You'll shake a lot more on the 8th boss which also makes the fastest strategy impossible. The 9th boss moves faster which actually helps you a lot and will make you able to kill it much faster. The 10th boss comes straight at you immediately which saves an absurd amount of time and makes the American PS2 version by far the fastest version for that boss. You can't use the fastest strat on the 11th boss for whatever reason. The 14th boss, as you said, spawns too close (or more accurately immediately charges at you), which doesn't actually make it impossible to beat fast (it's theoretically still faster since you have the ~2 second head-start), but it makes it more difficult to actually get away from. The 15th boss doesn't have any differences but because you gain control of your character more quickly, you can move to the right which forces him into an animation that is much better for speedruns (can probably save close to 10 seconds using this compared to the best PS3 strat). Every other boss is either the same on the American version or saves time/is easier in some way due to allowing you to start moving ~1.8 seconds earlier than other versions. So basically, you have an advantage on #1, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #9, #10, #12, #13, #14, #15, and #16, and a disadvantage on #2 (assuming you can even do the fastest strat), #8, and #11 (also assuming you can do the fastest strat). There's probably more differences but I either don't know them or they aren't documented.
