Shadow of the Colossus - Wander's infinite torch

Even though I had found the 'torch range' code back in 2009, see video here:

I'd never used the 'infinite torch' with Celosia (Leo) before. So here I have. There's not much you can do with Celosia, it walks backwards but can't fall off the lower cliffs, so I have to lead the colossus down to the lower ground level... yet there is no way to back it into the pool of water.
I'd already tested all these things back in 2009, but it was fun to recreate it in HD quality and go beyond what I did back then ; ) Enjoy.

Other than "The last guardian"? I know what you mean. I would love to see a version with all the original planned colossi included. I guess we only really have "prey for the gods" to play and the upcoming "behemoth" to look forward to in VR!!

@@CorporateZombi Too bad "Behemoth" is only a VR game. "Praey For The Gods" is a great game & so under appreciated. I know most who played it just rushed from boss to boss just to get to the end. But if you take the time to unlock the entire map, there are so many interesting areas to explore, lots of clever puzzles to solve, & an array of items & weapons to collect. Hopefully we'll eventually get a physical release along with bonus content. The game deserves it.

In a gameplay sense, I completely agree. There is much that could developed and expaned upon. Storywise, I'm not really that invested in the ico franchise lore.

It is strange that Celosia cannot enter the water, because I once saw someone that in an old version of him he would swim

In the official art book Ueda said: "Actually, the Colossus was once swimming in the middle of the lake. But when we tried to make his swimming speed match Wander’s, he looked weak, so we gave up on the idea." So it was once planned but never implemented.

@@NomadColossus That's interesting. I just assumed he didn't go into the deep water because his body has so much stone on it ( as well as what appears to be copper or bronze ) that he'd just sink to the bottom.

Dear Nomad, how you are able to still find things in this game 18 years after the fact, I'll never know! That said, I greatly admire your dedication to the Ico series, as well as the fanbase after all this time! I can't wait to see what you find once the next game comes out.

something I motice is that when you Reaching the broken seal gate (malu's gate) the agro since to stop running like if the knows whats going to happen, it is not something that great but is a cool detail

Watching this reminds me of when I grabbed the torch & traveled all over the map trying to see if there was any place else where I could light it. Sadly there wasn't, so I just ended up using it to take out a shiny tailed lizard instead. At least that worked. :)

Yeah, that's just how my old emulator displays the eyes... I could upgrade to the latest emulator of course, but that would mean changing all my memory editor addresses (converting them) which would take forever!!!!

No, Celosia can't get through the lake to reach the zig-zag path that leads out. The only way to get the colossus out of that valley is to hack it out, but then it just just falls through the ground sadly!
