I don't care if it is a book, a movie, a show, or a game...good writing cannot be replaced by anything. Have all the special effects you want and all of the game mechanics, it all comes down to writing. The fact that this monster of a fighter was petrified of someone cursed to remain a child forever, named "The Kind", and it made SENSE for him to be terrified, is crazy.

Couldn't agree more, if this is where the story "ends" so be it. I would rather have the story have questions unanswered than get a sequel or something else with the writing being absolutely poor, good writing needs to be preserved and not diluted with other mediocre stuff.

I only have one question, at what point did Miquella charm Mogh? I want to believe that it was when Mogh went to kidnap Miquella, just before Mogh took him out of his hieratic tree, at that time. moment Miquella enchanted him, and if it wasn't at that moment, I want to start thinking that when Mogh took Miquella out of his hieratic tree, Miquella was still conscious and the two faced a duel, in which Mogh won and did not kill Miquella, but only weakened him, which is why he carries him in his arms as we see in the initial cinematic of the game, but as a result of the confrontation, Mogh ended up enchanted by Miquella, and we already know what happened next.

I almost feel like Miq charmed Mohg way before Miq placed himself into his tree, I don't know when it occurred but as you pointed out we see Mohg help Miq with travelling, so I feel like this was a plan a long time in the making, which Mohg did not realise he was a pawn in.

Being an Omen-DemiGod, it made sense that Mohg wanted all that for himself, and then Miquella went along with it in the way of "Great, I could make use of this situation."

@@SuperBurdens Oh absolutely there's no evidence to what I theorised, and maybe Mohg did kidnapped Miq for powers sake to rule The Lands Between and Miq used the situation as an opportunity, but in my mind it makes some sort of sense due to Ansbach telling us that Miq once charmed him when Ansbach tried killing Miq to free Mohg. Which implies that there was a noticeable change in Mohg that some of his followers saw and they finally understood why Mohg changed the moment Miq was brought to the Palace. Miq was then able to use Mohg to somehow enter the Realm of Shadow's with Miq followers bringing Mohg body with them shortly after we kill him. To me, it all seems to have been a plan long in the making instead a spur of the moment thing.

@@DrGrimReaperGaming Well, Ansbach is not a DemiGod, so I assume it is easier for him to be charmed. I prefer that every character has their own agenda, and things happen to fall in, and we connect the dots. I would not believe Mohg was innocent and had no agenda, especially in the land between.

I would assume during the time Radahn invaded Leyndel. Miquella doesn't need to be directly present to charm someone, or at the very least charming someone is most effective if done directly. Radahn probably did not agree to Miquella's method for saving the Lands Between as he choose to attack Leyndell and reach the Erdtree directly, rather than follow Miquella to the realm of shadows, even then, it's only when Radahn's siege fails and he returns to Caelid does Malenia pursue Radahn, seemingly to finish him off under the order of Miquella to forcibly have him join his plan by destroying his body and sending his soul to the Realm of Shadows. So perhaps either during the Siege of Leyndell, or during Malenia's march to Caelid, does Miquella interact with Mohg. But I would assume the events are as followed: 1) Radahn rejects Miquella's plan of forced compassion and invades Leyndell in an attempt to become Elden Lord. 2) Morgott, having been warned by Miquella, is made aware of the invasion and prepares for the defensive. 2.5) Morgott sets Miquella's crown on the chair as we see in the trailer and goes off to face drive off Radahn, as we see in the cinematic 3) Miquella, while in Leyndell during the siege, as Morgott faces Radahn, travels to the Cathedral of the Forsaken where he interacts with Mohg and charms him with the idea of becoming Elden Lord and helping him ascend to Godhood. 4) Miquella returns to the Haligtree to continue his growth to break his curse. 5) Radahn and the Redmanes are repelled from Leyndell and forced to retreat. 5.5) As thanks for the warning, Morgott sends a caravan of presents for both Miquella and Malenia, which we see in the Consecrated Snowfields but gets lot, both caravans carrying an item closely tied to both of them, the sword of Malenia's teacher who defeated the Outer God of Rot, and St. Trina's torch. 6) Miquella orders Malenia to pursue Radahn in Caelid to enact his plan, specifically to destroy his body by any means necessary. 7) Whether through his charm or not, Malenia agrees but during her march is conflicted as she is aware she cannot defeat Radahn without accepting the Scarlet Rot, which she spent her entire life suppressing. Miquella had abandoned the Golden Order to study Unalloyed Gold, and fashioned a needle capable of repelling the influence of an Outer God, but was not perfected as it could only work in a place outside time, but it could prevent the spread of the Scarlet Rot. The Unalloyed Golden Needle was a sign of Miquella's trust, love, and faith, in Malenia, it was her pride; and now she had no other choice but to abandon it for their mission. 7.5) Morgott notices Malenia's march to Caelid, and realizes that Miquella was never on his side and tricked him in another vye for power, and deems them traitors, locking Leyndell away from any who possess a single Great Rune. (Unaware of their true intentions) The Black Knives, before hunting Ranni, also take notice of Miquella's strange actions and pursue Miquella to Ordina. The Thee Fingers and the Outer God of Rot also make their move to pursue Miquella, who is one of their only actual concerns, but are unable to get as far, as we see with the infected trolls and the rotten duelist, all kept at bay by the Albinaurics of Ordina, before they could reach the Haligtree. 8) During the march to Caelid, Mohg and Ansbach appear to "kidnap" Miquella and take him to Mohgwyn Palace where his body, now free from the curse of eternal youth can be prepared to enter the Realm of Shadows and continue his plan. 9) The Cleanrot Knights and the Redmanes engage in battle until only Malenia and Radahn remain. Radahn wants an honorable duel but has no intention of losing or joining Miquella. Malenia finds the resolve to abandon the Unalloyed Golden Needle while Radahn waits for her. After pulling the needle from her arm, to ensure she cannot simply put it back afterward as if nothing happened and to commit to her actions, she breaks the needle, and faces Radahn. 10) The duel goes on until Malenia is able unleash the Scarlet Rot, where she tells Radahn that Miquella is waiting for him, only then does Radahn realize Miquella plans to force him into the vow by any means necessary, even if it means abandoning his beloved sister. 10.5) Malenia orders the remaining Cleanrot Knights to kill Radahn by any means necessary. 11) Finlay takes Malenia away from the battlefield, and carries her back to the Haligtree, fighting off the Night's Cavalry and Leyndell Knights positioned outside Leyndell (like the ones in Liurnia) after Morgott recognized their betrayal. Other Knights help carve the path for her, but only Finlay is able to return alive. 12) Radahn is taken to Redmane Castle, and starts going berserk trying to resist the rot to prevent himself from dying and falling into Miquella's hands, and isolates himself in the Wailing Dunes to prevent hurting any of his loyal men. 13) Commander O'Neil who leads the fight against the surviving Cleanrot Knights trying to get to Radahn in Aeonia, keeps them at bay and finds the broken needle. Believing it something important, he keeps it on him. 14) Radahn's berserk state chips drives him insane and Jerren, Ohga, Frejya, and few others decide what they must do. Jerren suggesting the Radahn Festival, Freyja reluctantly agreeing to it, but ultimately is accepted by the Redmanes when Ohga supports Jerren's decision. 15) The first Radahn Festival is held and spearheaded by Ohga and his unit, some cleanrot knights managed to breakthrough O'Neil's line and interrupt the Festival, but all on the battlefield are ultimately slain. Their weapons left in the sands and their remains buried in the nearby catacombs. 16) Freyja leaves, Jerren continues the Radahn Festival, Morgott deals with Tarnished returning to the Lands Between, Mohg continues to aid in Miquella's "growth" in his chrysalis, and Malenia awaits Miquella's triumphant return with Radahn. 17) *The Tarnished of no renown awakens, guided by the grace of gold.* 17.5) Miquella awaits in the realm of shadows for two conditions to finally be met, Radahn's death and his soul's arrival in the Realm of Shadows, and Mohg's death, for his soul to be abandoned and his body a prepared and charmed vessel to trap Radahn's soul for the Secret Rite of Ascension. Only when the fusion is complete does Miquella shatter his Great Rune, everything from that point on until our arrival at the Divine Gateway is the new lord vessel, the incarnated Radahn's vessel begins to stabilize. Until then, he must wait. 18) The Tarnished kills Radahn and Mohg. 19) Miquella's plan finally begins and Miquella starts to abandon his flesh.

I think that would have been a reason against Mohg as it seems Miq wants nothing to do with the Outer Gods, hence the Golden Alloy needle for Malenia.
