Well, not entirely. I think he's mixing like 3 different opinions of different people. Because yes, you should go get the scadutree fragments and use summons because summons are cool and fun and because you're meant to get the fragments and explore for them. There are people who hate on this, but they're not long time fans they're new memers. Because these games are unironically cool and fun, even though Dunkey and the people who always hated on these games always thought. These people always existed - people who hate these games and act like they're being forced to play them and so the games need to cater to their tastes. These people are a mix of old haters and new haters. There have always been some idiots who think way too highly of themselves because these games are modestly hard, but their difficulty is not for its own sake. It's sorta like what Dunkey said about Heroic difficulty on Halo - some difficulties are perfectly tuned. Fromsoft games usually get that right. Play the way you want, but don't act entitled and whine if you don't like the default experience. Not every game is for everyone, but it's absolutely fine to play the game with every non-cheat tool it gives you.

Elden Ring's fanbase seems even worse then all the other souls games' fanbases. The bosses and enemy design, damage scaling, and lackluster (in a originality sense given how the game was advertised) lore chief among them. I bought the disk for the new elder rings dlc and it’s literally just Kirby’s Epic Yarn for the Wii. Beat it on my first try with a lv 1 Kirby build. Anyone having trouble with it needs to “get good” as they say.

@@tristanneal9552Elden Ring has this problem too, and I’ve even noticed it in the dlc with the amount of low level somber stones dotted everywhere, but I think Zelda did it way worse because of just how bad it feels to find weapons or rupees in chests. At least in Elden Ring, a good portion of the actually hidden treasures feel like real treasure, permanent weapons or spells or talismans or ashes of war. There’s just a greater variety of types of meaningful loot in ER.

The main game has to appeal to everybody to make back it's investment, whereas the dlc is simply additional content that they can afford to risk a bit with for experimental purposes. It also makes sense to market towards the hardcore fans moreso, since they're a fanbase that will no doubt purchase the dlc guaranteed.

@@UltravioletNomad sort of agree but also disagree with this argument (specfically builds), yeah if you're using a slow strength weapon it becomes a lot harder to get hits in, but any medium-fast weapon is more then enough to punish the bosses and their attacks (note that a lot of the DLC remembrance weapons are medium-fast, which every player has access to). pure strength builds in Elden Ring were already quite weak in general, so I was a bit sad to see them get even worse, but I think its disengenious to say that you can only use meta builds.

Miyazaki toughened the community as the strongest soldiers, they will pick every battle even within their own to cook you on how much of a braindead loser you are for not being able to use the game's tools to beat the game fast, then when you do beat it because you summon the mimic or you use an OP AOW they put you on blast for using them.

OMG dunkey put it perfectly, and it fits my experience exactly! going in with a level 350 character and getting 1 shotted by a bat lol. and its not something you can just "get gud" to overcome. you literally have to never get hit once, even by the weakest of mobs, which is literally impossible.. the balancing is wayyyyyyyyyyy off. to the people that beat it, they must not of been on new game plus or were on like new game plus 1 or 2.

Hi Guys, I was at NG+7 and watched so many tutorials and tried so many time but, couldn't beat him so I made my own build and I beat him in several tries. The main Component is - SCARLET AEONIA You can use a high poise armour to tank his attacks(or at least try to) and use, (Talisman) DragonCrest Greatsheild Perldrake +3 Shard of alexander Godfrey Icon (Buffs) Golden Vow Flame, Grants Me Strength Blessing, of the Erdtree Lord's Divine Fortification Main weapon - Bolt of Gransax Story - So, the scarlet aronia eats through his health even if you are at NG+, you need to cast it a minimum 3 times in all three phases(3rd on is after he comes from the sky). I know it's harder to keep up with his attacks and bullshit but, you only have to cast the incantation and ran away across the map and heal. And if you are willing to use the mimic summon it will be very helpful. I was so stressed out, that's why i wanted to help you guys out. if I didn't do Shit with this message I'm Sorry Anyways, DON'T GIVE UP TARNISHED YOU CAN DO THIS
