This game looks really good, but I really wish it came out back in July or August and not a week after Spider-Man. I will get around to playing it eventually, though I would really appreciate it if games didn't all release simultaneously in the Fall and Winter, effectively undercutting one another.

Tomb raider became like a merc thing recently with tomb raider, and rise of the tomb raider reboot. I wish they had more like tomb raiding going on, like they were stuck on a pyramid and they need to solve puzzzles to get out, and like theres a reward / penalty system for doing so, like if you don't solve a puzzle then that would kill a character that is stuck along with you.

anyhing is better than rise honestly. When you go back and play that game, you will see the lack of love they put into it. Shadow definitely already has a more genuine tone to it. They really care about this game.

loving this new shadow of the tomb and holding off doing ending until I complete all the missions. This game has taken me back to the core days.The customisation of game play allowing you to boost exploration and puzzle whilst decreasing the amount of combat will suit many more players but also allows those into heavy combat scenes to have this option. Now if they would only remake Tomb raider 2 life would be bliss. I would be hard pushed to choose between the latest and that particular old favourite.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider has been one of my favorite games in a while. It’s beautiful and very fun especially on deadly obsession albeit challenging because I die in tombs a lot but not having hints in traversal makes the game so much more immersive and only having check points at camp fires puts me on edge the entire time I have a lot of progress since my last check point I feel like it’s my life on the line. Really fun game favorite in the series going for the plat and 100% after doing the same with the previous two they’re all great but this one hits different.

Both definitive edition as well. Ive been playing then since (I'm like 20% into the second game) and I'm enjoying the experience immensely. Gearing up to be some of my favorite ps4 games to date. I wish they'd release a list of alternate skins. That's always an incentive for me. I love turning Lara into a cartoon or a blocky retro sprite. It's such a fun contrast now that graphics are so advanced.

ı really like the new tomb raider serie but sometines I miss how Lara used to be so confident and elegent even thpugh when she was brutal like being acrobat, back flips etc and using martial arts. I know they went a more guerilla way but as I said sometimes I missed that part and Lara should be more confident like she was

Good luck with that Ray Tracing tech because, from what I've read, even on the top 2080ti video card (coming out soon) it can only get at/above 60 fps at 1080p (not sure if its at max/ultra settings or not) and it won't be able to hit 60 if you want it at 2k/4k settings (unless you set it on potato). Maybe they'll tweak games or the video cards coming out but if 2k/4k gaming is YOUR gaming..you might just want to pass up Ray Tracing.

The language immersion I feel is very half-spun. Even with it turned on, they speak English, and turned off, they still speak their native tongue and Lara responds in English either way. The voiceover in the Native tongue is so obviously dubbed over, you're better off toggling it off, cuz its ironically, not all that "immersive".
