to be honest, i liked his sonic 2 design more. it doesn't have to 100% look like the game eggman, but as long as you have the iconic moustache and bald head, you're golden. sonic 2's eggman design had a bit more originality to it.

I concor, the concerning part especially to me is them being nervous about who it'll be, especially after the first movies fan outcry over Sonics design, not to mention Shadow is a very beloved character to the fans, so ots either that, or they do have someone, but their either having complications getting them in, or they have an actor, but their saving him for a big reveal to wow fans, Jeff working on Shadow the hedgehog definitely gives me optimism that he can do the character justice, more so then most

the og English voice actor of Shadow, David Humphrey made an Instagram account and his profile picture shows him in a recording booth, with a script on his tablet/screen and a little cutout of Shadow taped to the booth, he maight be voicing Shadow in the movie, which would mean that there's 2 video game voice actors voicing characters in the movie while sonic and Knuckles are voiced by big name celebrities

That is interesting. He’s literally my favorite shadow voice, that’s why I wanted Hayden Christiansen to voice shadow in sonic 3 because he sounded close to him.. But if we can actually have David Humphrey as shadow in sonic 3.. this movie is already successful for me.

Same from me. He's my favorite Shadow voice too, and I was liking the rumor​ that Hayden Christensen could be voicing Shadow because of him being enough of a sound-alike actor to David Humphrey. I'd be extra satisfied if this does become true that Paramount chose that original experienced VA for Shadow instead of any bigname hollywood star who hasn't ever had any experience with voicing Sega's furry Ultimate Lifeform.

@@Hedgie3 exactly. Now that I think more about it, that’s probably why they’re taking long to announce it. It’s special and the director knows what the fans want. They know fans appreciate nostalgia but they also know they got to find the best actor to fit their version and vision of the character, hence idris Elba as knuckles but Colleen o’shaughnessy as tails. They seem to know how to keep things balanced.

Still NO Shadow VA reveal? I hope that they are hiding this so that they can surprise us with the miracle news that his very first English VA David Humphrey had gotten casted in! Good that we will finally be seeing Jim Carrey in a fat suit instead of having him still being too much of a skinny looking Dr. Robotnik on screen. I'm okay about the motorcycle, but PLEASE may this "NOT" mean that Shadow will also be using guns!!!!!!!!!!! May the better written SA2, Heroes, and 06 version of him return in Sonic 3, instead of him being shown as an annoying gunshooting and swearing edgeloard character in that movie!!!!!!!!
