Sherry's desire for revenge is even more impactful when you take into consideration how Shadow killed the old guy in the same way the old guy killed Sherry's mother. As Sherry walked in on her 'father' dead, seeing the same sight she saw back then, its possible she believes Shadow is the one who killed her mother as well.

I never really question the reason why no one recognises him. His face does look slightly different, but the anime clearly works on the premise that people don't recognise Shadow, so I just roll with it. It's like Atom Eve said, "If you don't expect to see a superhero in your school, you don't see a superhero in your school."

Yeah you get that also confirmed with Shadow using the words the principal told Cid about how he killed her mom so he realized when he died

In the LN, Cid and Shadow Garden do wear masks. I think the anime leaves them off for artistic/cosmetic reasons. It is hard to visually differentiate between people if everyone is wearing masks for the audience.

The anime is the only medium where the masks on not drawn on. For some stupid fucking reason. I hate it so much. I long ago lost count of how many reacters kept pointing out that no one recognizes Cid throughout the series. Just😊 like the sheer number of reacters who couldn't stop laughing at a certain name next arc... Was is really so difficult to include those awesome looking masks?!? I mean, the amime goes so hard on unnecessary stuff, but..... le sigh.

6:33 18:08 Like other comments said, ALL of Shadow Garden are wearing masks. For some stupid ass reason, they are just invisible in the anime, yet still do their job. Grrrr.....it pisses me off so much. 14:14 Pretty damn sure the dude realized at this last moment that Shadow was Cid all along, and I love that. 16:35 In the novel, Cid actually hears Sherry because the wind blew in his direction right as she finished that sentence. He always knew that he would be her assumed nemisis.

Fun arc. This series does a good job developing supporting characters. In the novel, Shadow Garden wear somewhat more concealing outfits (including masks) but for visual reasons that's not used in anime etc., so magic explains.

The slime changes their appearance that is why. Remember in episode 2 in a scene beta was using the slime to change her appearance or has everybody forgotten this fact.

In the Manga, they actually wear face masks. And that's why people can't recognize who they are but they got rid of those for the anime

I think Cid genuinely got pissed off, it was same for the fencing when his eyes ware hidden, when we don`t see his face while he plays as Cid so to speak he is honest +Cid outright told the guy who he is by killing him the same way he killed Sherry`s mom, something he told to Cid before 'killing him'. He knew Cid is Shadow, because Cid wanted to execute revenge for her Sherry and her mother. I think Cid partly wants to have sworn enemy but hid things from Sherry mainly to protect her which is why we don`t see his face after they split paths

17:58 Zeta.....Best Girl? Idk. I love cats and I adore catgirls(Rem Galleu). Zeta just gets so little screentime so far. Delta and Alpha and Alexia are all spectacular, and Sherry is A fav of mine. Also, another Elf-chan later on is a darling....

Sherry is absolutely not better not knowing the truth. Shadow is just being his cliché asshole self. He doesn't care what's good for her. He's just acting out his edgelord fantasy. Which does make perfect sense for him, but it's shitty to Sherry. This show really is a dark fantasy world having to content with the whims of an insane demigod.

I am not sure that you noticed, but all of the lights and heating in the school are powered with some kind of gas or maybe oil. The fire spreads quicky because they were already burning.

I just want to make it known to anyone potentially subscribing to the Patreon: Most Patreons I’ve encountered charge you on the same date each month that you originally subscribed. They, however, charge you when you subscribe and at the beginning of each month. I didn’t think to check the About Page because every other Patreon has charged me the day I subscribed, each month (I thought it was a platform-wide policy). In the light novel they all wear masks. If i remember right, there's also an extra layer of shadow inside Cid's hood. So all you can really see are his red eyes (which turn red due to magic overdrive).
