And how mad would they be at him when they found out the truth? 54:12 - Can we safely assume that every generation of Robotnik somehow has a kid with an ancient-alien civilisation? @@BrunoMencacci The way the thumbnails work is that the artists (who are amazing) pick something they would like to draw from the episode (in this case, the scenario Ian mentioned at 12:34), and work their magic. It doesn't necessarily need to be a question they illustrate. I'm also super glad they picked this, because it looks epic!

You should be proud of yourself and your journey because not everyone has the chance to go from official comic book writer to games writer. You managed to convince Sega to give you the chance to write for new games thanks to your work.

14:48 The reason Shadow was depressed was because he had encountered the Gun commander and was told that everyone on the ark died because of Shadow. And because Shadow didn't have the full context, you can fill in the blanks. Vector was there because computer room and just so happened to be there at the end of it all. At least he had a funny line.

Omega's their way of cleaning up after Halloween night. Sonic, Tails and the others decide not to convince him that the animatronics are harmless, but say he can take care of them once the partying's done. Once everybody's had their fun Omega tears through the neighbourhood like an 18+ slasher flick after Cream and Charmie have gone to bed (Sonic and co probably watch the flames) and that saves everyone the hassle of taking the decorations down in the morning.

honestly that sonic x episode is accurate in my heart because sonic simoltaneously being this infallable suave street rat superhero while also having the capacity to be such a mardy scheming bitch in that scenario is so fun and why that episode is so good. i hear people talk about sonic's vanity and ego with how demanding he is of his presentation to others and like seeing him be that desperate is such a riot and defining in my mind. and i havent even finished sonic x!

I don't think either of the hosts have played Spark, and they've both played the first Freedom Planet a while ago (though Ian has only played a bit of the arcade mode, and Kyle might be a little hazy on the story).

Ian, I need to know, I know that Sonic is faster than Shadow, but in most guides from multiple games it is stated that he rivals Sonic's speed and acrobatics. I want to ask you how close is Shadow to Sonic, I would like for them to always be relative to each other but what do you think?

Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform still doesn't recognize Infinite (former Jackal Squad leader; the Ultimate Mercenary), and he still doesn't recognize his face inside the mask either. Because Shadow doesn't care. Sonic and his friends don't care either.

Ian, do you know the current status of "negative/positive" energy from the Chaos Emeralds? Does that separation still exist? I think the negative/positive energy concept originated from a mistranslation in Sonic Adventure and was carried over to the Sonic Unleashed english manual. In Japan, there's no mention of this separation; in fact, it contradicts some story elements. In Sonic X and Sonic Channel stories, the emeralds' color is seen as just energy, not classified as "negative" or "positive." In the SA1 adaptation of Sonic X, which isn't canon, and it does have its own creative choices, but does seem to reflect ideas Sonic Team may have wanted to use in SA1 and SA2 but couldn't due to lack of time/hardware, Sonic restores the emeralds' colors that Chaos had drained through positive feelings before transforming into Super Sonic. In the 2021 Sonic Channel stories, the Chaos Emeralds are colorless, and it's said that this is thanks to the last battle Sonic had with Eggman. In one of the stories Shadow struggles to use Chaos Control due to the emeralds lacking energy. And in Silver's story it shows him transforming a wish into power which drains their energy too, making it colorless again. Overall, it seems the emeralds become colorless after use, no matter if positive or negative, and they regain energy either by resting in nature or through positive emotions. If they had positive energy in Unleashed, Sonic could have transformed into Super Sonic anytime in the game.
