I have a 97 grand marquis. I still am surprised how quiet/smooth that 4.6l engine is, I can't tell its running when I get to a stop sign.

The Tensioners take a 3/8ths -inch Ratchet or Breaker Bar. 😁

The Ignition Firing Order for the V-8, 4.6-Liter 2v Engine : 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 . Best results for '92 - '95 Panthers = BOSCH # 9605 Spark Plugs and BOSCH # 09725 "MagCore" Ignition Wires.

Hey shadowrider iam getting ready to buy a 94 grand marquis with 95k original florida car runs great shifts great it has the digital out read wat type of oil leaks do these cars develope besides valve cover gaskets

To answer your question about oil leaking from common locations on the Ford Modular engine, the oil filter adapter gasket can dry out and leak coolant or engine oil. The drain plug can seep out a small amount of engine oil if you're not careful with loosening and tightening the drain plug at every service interval.

Yes, the oil filter housing is fastened to the engine block and the plastic and rubber gasket between the block and filter housing degrade and causes an oil/coolant leak.

Please shadowrider would you please show video of you putting the tires on the Crown Vic.It wood be interesting to see. I know on my 93 Town Car it has the 215 70 15 but I had a heck of a time finding white walls with the maximum load range but the ones I found were the Toyo Eclipse. I'm pretty sure when your crown vic was new it had white walls. it's always a good thing to get the maximum load range on a tire for one thing on a heavy car.

The Michelin XGT tires that were recently replaced were the original tires that came with the car believe it or not. White walls are very hard to find and have become a specialty item. Back in the day, everyone had white walls.

***** yeah I know I had the same problem when I was looking for some new tires for my 93 town car it also has the 215 70 15 but I wanted white walls and I looked everywhere and you can find low grade tires and white walls but I wanted to good tire so I found at a place called Les Schwabs here where I live in Oregon Toyo Eclipse and they are very good tire
