@@paledrake - Most types in Pokemon have passive traits attached to them. For the Dark type, they have a passive ability to automatically be immune to any Non-Damaging move used by a Pokemon with the ability Prankster. In this case, Luke's Ditto had Prankster and a Choice Scarf; Prankster allows the Pokemon to always go first if the move doesn't do damage, meaning Ditto can transform first and then always attack first (via Choice Scarf). Since Grimsnarl is a Dark type, Transform via Prankster will always fail. It is then locked into that one attack via Choice Scarf - and since Ditto has no other attacks in general - which means that particular Ditto rolled the one ability that would result in always losing this matchup.

@@PurpIe.Potato IDK, but it took down Ultra Necrozma in my Ultra Sun playthrough. It's got good bulk, only a single weakness (unless you count Freeze-Dry), can boost its attack and speed with Dragon Dance, and can hit mixed depending on the foe. The only thing that walls a Whiscash is a grass type, but it gets Ice Beam for that. Or, if you want to focus purely on physical attacks, Rock Slide and Outrage hit for neutral. And if you want to make sure it survives, it gets Rest. Sure, it's base stats do look like they would leave a lot to be desired, but it's typing, moveset and setup potential more than make up for that. It's faster than Gastrodon and Quagsire and is a single Dragon Dance away from being stronger. And with Tera giving it coverage, it can be a huge threat in formats like the "choose your starter knowing only knowing." If all else fails, it gets Fissure as an emergency option.
