One more point :- Driver seat height adjustment and Android Sat nav screen was added in late 2018/early 2019. Had this car for 1 year and honestly, even though being extremely reliable but it was an extremely boring car to drive with a bland driving feel and too much lack of features. The key Pakistani element at work here is what is locally known as JUGAAR. Indus jacked up height of Corolla Yaris with a utter disregard to how it effects the cars geometry negatively incl Driving dynamics, cornering, manoeuvres, aero all disturbed. Worse areo means need for more energy to cut through the air to move - i.e less fuel efficient. I got an Alsvin which sells in original form, is a pleasure to drive over long legged Yarry.

Now that we're facing an import crisis and the fact that elantra has zero localisation of parts, what do you suggest one should buy an Elantra or a corolla, given the fact that we may start facing issue of availability of parts in near future?

I've owned both variants the 1.6x and 1.8x, in my opinion grande 1.8X black interior is far better than any corolla which is ever introduced in the Pakistani market and it is even better than the civic 1.8 oriel UG. grande black interior is the car to go for if you're interested to buy the mighty corolla.

One more thing that didn't change are the gears. They are still running 4 gear auto. They should have out a cvt and it would have been more popular and better fuel average.

Only reason of survival of this old generation 'Rolla is coz Chinese haven't touched this C segment for some reason and Hyundai launched Elanta's ailing father. When CPEC rain hits C segment sedan its all but Suraj Fatiha for burial for this generation...
