Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 & 1.8 Grande - Used Car Review! Still Better than Yaris?

In this latest episode of our reviews, BloomBig OverDrive brings 2 highly sought after sedans in the Pakistani market, Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 & Altis 1.8 Grande. This particular comparison is of used Corolla Altis and brand new Toyota Yaris (Ativ & Ativ X) in Pakistan.
In this comparison, we will be extensively talking about all the features of Corolla Altis 1.6 & 1.8 Grande. Furthermore, we would also be comparing these cars to the newly launched Toyota Yaris, which is not exactly liked by everyone.
Whilst, the price of Toyota Yaris (new) and Toyota Altis 1.6 & 1.8 (2014-2016) is roughly the same, therefore, a lot of people are having a hard time choosing between these options. It's important to remember that Yaris comes with 1.3L & 1.5L engine options, whereas, Altis comes with 1.6L & 1.8L engines, producing 120 HP & 138 HP respectively.
Apart from the difference in the engine size and the shape, Corolla's size is also significantly bigger than that of Yaris. Furthermore, Corolla also feels more planted and stable at high speeds. Yaris Ativ X 1.5 comes standard with Smart Entry and Push Start, which is lacking in Corolla Altis 1.8 (2014-2016).
However, Corolla Altis 1.8 offers Driver's Seat Height Adjustment, Cruise Control and Paddle Shifters to enhance driver's experience. All these features are missing from the range topping Yaris Ativ X.

your rationale is good enough, yet I want to share my experience with our community. I searched for 2 months for a reasonable used car but every piece I got was treated badly & I concluded the probability of good car being sold is very low. So I had to go to brand new YARIS & this was best thing happened so far. peace of mind has is priceless when u go for new car. YARIS is beauty on interior & exterior, only with passage of time you will feel it. :) The biggest advantage of YARIS in congested city of Lahore is its compactness. In garages & rushy places/streets where Corolla can not pass, YARIS flows with the utmost ease.

My garage cannot fit Corolla,I have City 2016 Aspire 1.5 5th gen and neck to neck with walls it adjust,I will get Yaris instead of Corolla or a Picanto.

Altis Grande does not have auto retractable mirrors. It has powered/retractable mirrors but they are not auto.
