Look at much he has improved the defense in the pocket where now he doesn’t have to step back a half step now matter defending the beginning or the end of his opponents combination, defense coming forward while walking down his opponent, angles fighting in the pocket & fighting toe to toe especially using his elbow’s forearms whether it’s pulling you in or pushing off. Lastly even picking & changing up to his opponents tendencies no matter big or small faster than he did when what this video was posted,

One more thing about Shakur. He exposes himself to top tier sparring partners. He’s already sparred with Loma, Tank, Bud, etc. and he’s always in the company of great fighters like Ward and Crawford taking game in. These little things is what makes him good. Maybe this is one advantage that American fighters have over other fighters from other countries.

Shakur Stevenson is special, I've always said this young man has Floyd Mayweather/Pernell Whitaker type of skills. That says alot, I consider Pernell Whitaker to be the greatest boxer of all time. If Shakur stays focused I truly believe he can become an all time great.

That Rosales dude has no idea about fighting southpaws though. He never once tried to get the better angle on the outside lead foot, and more than one time, stumbles back after getting it trapped by stevenson a few times and at 1:24 you see Stevenson sneakily stand on his foot and think about lunging the jab when he cant pull away, but he has to pull away from a straight right 😂👍 he didn't know what to do by the by the end.
