Shall I do AssocRICS or MRICS?

Interesting. I'm currently in a varied building surveying role with a MRICS degree who offer APC. However I'm interested in going into valuation/residential surveying with companies offering assocRICS I guess due to less varied type of work. Can't make my mind up, go into something I'm actually interested in and get MRICS later down the line, or stay in the role I'm in and go for MRICS now. Decisions decisions

I’d make my decision on what you are most interested in and has the better career-wide earning potential taking into account any bumps in the market. If, heaven forbid, there is a recession it’s the resi people who are hit first. Could they not offer your APC?

Contact RICS assessments with the reason why and they can extend it. It’s not set in stone.

There is no stepping stone from AssocRICS to MRICS. You have to have an accredited degree. As an Associate you can do all the same work as MRICS.
