Not to mention. Instant while running moves are really easy too. I don’t play Tekken at all anymore, but when I switched from pad to leverless like 4 months ago, it was the first thing I tested in training. I’ve almost never been able to do them on pad.

theres a trick to it, you either pause very shortly after the first forward (basically fnff) or the second (ffnf) after I learned that instant running got a lot easier on pad

Such a helpful video, I am trying to transition to hitbox for Tekken 8 and have one on the way. In the meantime I'm trying to get some muscle memory and acclimation by playinng on keyboard. Thanks for this.

I had a HitBox for a few months and started to develop a lot of soreness in my left hand. Tried all types of pre and after gaming stretches, nothing helped. Ended up switching back to pad to prevent long term issues.

i had the same problem after like 3 days and then i realized that i didnt need to press so hard and i didnt have to lift my fingers so high to activate the buttons and after that i feel like my hands are very comfortable. switched off pad because it was destroying my left thumb. maybe i was too aggressive with my thumb as well but i have the muscle memory to press lightly on levelerless and i feel great

Mainly with the ring finger because it shares the same tendon as the middle finger.

This video doesn't show the true potential of leverless in Tekken. The speeds and precision possible on such devices is unparalleled. Godslides, PiWR, PiDash(Taunt Mach Punch), 13 and 14f electrics, Hayashida step, 2f input QC moves, stepping into the foreground from crouch, multiple techniques for lightning fast movement, less strain, iFC

I am an intermediate sf6 player and currently using hitbox. I am loving what i ve seen of tekken 8 so far but just wondering how hitbox deals with movement inside 3d space. Can somebody give me some info about that?

Backdashing with 2 hands only looks good for demonstration. Doesnt work well in actual fight because you have to move your hand across to press the actual buttons and gets very confusing and there is a delay with this hand movement.

@@donovanchilton5817 back dashing with one hand using socd is super easy in my opinion.. what im having trouble with is the UP button for sidestepping and UF moves.. am i supposed to be using my right thumb for up independently? im currently using my whole left hand for movement and while my backdash is amazing i feel my sidestep cancels ae so slow and bad... does controlling up with the right thumb help with this?

@@donovanchilton5817 mmm maybe not pros but for normal people its a big problem. I bought hitbox and tried to do it for a long time. Your fingers smack into each other when playing fast and gets confusing and also slow to punish if using 2 hands. (Normal gamer experience)

With 2 hands it's much easier to learn and much faster. I could train a total beginner to Backdash cancel faster than the pros in less than 30min on leverless. That's also another advantage; that there's multiple ways to do things!

Do these players set their attack buttons 1 2 3 4 like all across the top row or do they do the traditional 1 2 and 3 4 underneath? I cant catch it he is so fast, I even tried slowing it down but tough to see with his hand over the buttons. I am thining the latter i notice he hit 3rd button from right on top row to do 1+2 so I guess a macro. But what do people in general do.
@silverback8152

generally 12 on top and 34 on bottom. but the next 4 buttons can be either unused or remapped to throws(1+3)(2+4)(1+2) or diagonal 1+4 or 2+3 inputs.

I play Tekken with a leverless controller for years now and I would not go back. However I can't play SF6 with it I do prefer a regular arcade stick for this game.

It depends on the character honestly. Nina is the WRONG character for hitbox. She's actually one of the hardest characters in the game to use on hitbox. Her flapping butterfly combos, hayashida step, etc... are extremely difficult to perform on hitbox, especially the flapping butterfly combos. You'd be better off playing her on a stick. The only good thing about using her on hitbox is that her kbd is much easier to perform, since she's one of the few characters that has a backsway that overlaps with the kbd input. Most other characters benefit from the hitbox, but not Nina.
@UltimateBallaPOM
@UltimateBallaPOM Жыл бұрын
Opposite. She's hard(to learn, but she effortless when you master it) on Hitbox, but extremely difficult if you don't know what you're doing(techniques). You can just slide ONE finger to do Flappies. You have the fastest possible Hayashida with leverless. You have one finger designated to Up and others on Down and Back. I can gladly create a video for you, but you can also refer to the highest performing tournament Nina globally; Jodd.

@@UltimateBallaPOM I would love to see a video on that, because so far to me, Nina is the hardest character to use on hitbox, like it's not even worth it. I would much rather play her on stick.

Look, it’s the classic saying…Play with what you want and what you’re comfortable with. Sure, these things can be expensive, but you can also make your own. There is power in saving up money as well. People are “rich” because they can afford a leverless. I personally got sick of pads breaking too often. I made the jump to leverless 4 months ago and I don’t ever want to go back.

@@UltimateBallaPOM not at all. When pads were first used, mapping inputs wasn't allowed. There were massive debates over it. Something like a hitbox would've got your ass banned.
