Loving the variety on this channel lately! I love catfishing, but I love all types of fishing too. The bass tournaments, ultralight, and carp fishing is great and very informative. I love how Justin explains his techniques and what he is thinking in terms of choosing the spots, etc.

Makes me so happy seeing someone with such a following carp fishing with such respect. I’m sure it’s everywhere but here in Texas people regard carp as “trash fish” for some reason, throwing them on the bank and senselessly killing them when they’re caught. Thanks Justin! Keep it up!

I know in the state im in, unless its a true carp, its illegal for us the release them back into the water. Generally when i catch a carp, bufflo, or drum ill cut em up and through the chunks in the water.

In some bodies of water, they're actually invasive, but if you gotta kill them, use them as bait at least. Technically they naturalized in the US at this point and people kill them because they assume they're still invasive.

Love the carp content man! Love it all, ultralight, bass tourneys, love it all. I spent the days of my youth chasing monster carp in the upper Allegheny river. Pollution killed them all off in a matter of a couple years. Breaks my heart to think about.

Im glad your promoting other fish species as well as Catfish you really are on an incredible carp fishery, if you prechum spots you wont be able to get a bait to the bottom before your bit. in case anyone was wondering common carp can grow to be about 3 pounds in their first year of life, carp guys will suggest a rubber coated net to protect their slime coat. Those spotted gar were indeed mating pretty neat too see

Dad started me carp fishing and it's something I've done for almost 40 years. You get one 35 lbs or more and u got a really good fight on your hands. Plus when your fishing right in the Love Shack you will get all kinds of action. Im all for more carp videos man!!

Even big carp make great bait. Bleed em into a bowl, by snippin gills. Save the blood. Fillet and cut fillets into bait size chunks and soak the chunks in the blood. You WILL NOT regret it. Thanks for another great video!!!!

There is so much I wanted to say as I was watching this vid. Brought back so many memories from growing up fishing since around three or so years old. But I actually targeted carp for quite some time way back when.... But I have to admit I never actually used corn, believe it or not. Used to make my own alfalfa bait that would make people hate me for catching carp right and left when they are still waiting on something to eat their crawlers. Yeah, carp is an underrated fish not just to fight but to eat also. Thanks Justin for the flood of memories.

I enjoy your videos very much!! Even what you call mistakes! My family was always like you said. Their attitude was get rid of carp! But my ex-husband made me some fried fish and wouldn't tell me what it was until after I tasted it. He cut it in bite-size pieces and rolled it in a mixture of cornmeal and spices and deep fried it. Let me say, first, I am NOT a fish eater!!! But I LOVED that!!! It was delicious!!! It had a very light fish taste, unlike bass which I can't stand!!! And much to my amazement, it was carp! He said the secret is in how they are cleaned (prepared, dressed). 🤗 And, by the way, the carp he got it from had to weigh 30 lbs. or more. It was every bit of 4.5-5ft. long and 16"-18" from the top to the bottom! It was HUGE!!! 👍

Grew up fishing for carp in a shallow river near my house. Same exact concept...chum them up and then wait. Great thing about carp is they are usually willing to bite when nothing else will. Thanks for the video...enjoyed it.

Here in South africa 🇿🇦 carp fishing is big. There is different strops(RIGS) to use for carp fishing. We put feed and bait on the same time out, on this way you create feeding spot and your hooks are out. The aim is to cast on the same spot every time . You use a spring with cooked maise that is put through a grinder or dry popcorn mix. The strop is called a rietflei or you can use a boer strop. Nice to see your videos . Gerdus

Cats are my fav, but when not much else is hitting the carp are a lot of fun. Early season/ice out are mighty good eating when brined and smoked properly ;) A perk is that you can eat the bait.....lol A bait that I've used that works great is a mix o Jiffy cornbread mix and strawberry jello. Cook it gently in a sauce pan and mould it on to a treble hook like any other dough-ball. It isn't much good in heavy current, but great in the backwaters.

About 25 years ago, my (now ex-) in-laws lived across the street from a small private lake which was owned by the residents of that neighborhood. The lake was full of large carp up to around 25 lbs. My son and I spent many hours fishing that lake. My favorite fishing was to catch those big carp on ultra-light tackle. 7-lb line with a matching rod & reel and small treble hooks covered in vanilla-flavored dough. I miss those days fishing with my son.

German carp were introduced to the Fox River in Illinois in late 1800s and eventually used as food fish, they are unfortunately considered a "trash fish" but are always fun, keep on doing and sharing what you love I love it all

about the carp hookup and drag thing u can fish for them really loose drag or really tight for me it doesn’t matter but with tight drag use tiny circle hooks they hook up almost every time

I have sore lipped my share of carp when I lived in Colorado. Haven't ever targeted them. They were nice by-catches while catfishing. In Missouri we have lots of Asian carp and I catch those on the Missouri River. I filet them and turn them into catfish lol. You could post a video fishing for anything and I'd watch it. Great videos all the time and great laughs with you.

Today, I went to a friend's pond that was stocked back in the late 70s with every fresh water fish that's known here in the Carolina area including common carp, I love carp fishing but never tried the wild carp before, my Ambassador 6500c3 were screaming and I only baited with corn and would toss out corn by the handful, it's like hooking up to a truck, best fight ever.
