How do you vibrato like that? I can normal vibrato, but how do you do it slower like that?! I’ve tried it before, yet it’s hard for me. Also, what is that red thing on your bridge? Is it like a intonation thing where it tells you what note you’re playing?

I don't play strings, but I play woodwinds, usually to learn vibrato you start by playing with a metronome at a slow tempo and start to increase it, so I could imagine that is easier to play vibrato slow than fast. Also, I think that red thing on the bridge is a mic, this recording has allot of panning and was probably done with post fx on the 2 separately recorded tracks.

The red thing is a fine tuner

I'm on violin, but how I was taught is do two "wobbles" in a quarter note set at like 90 bpm, then gradually increase to 3, 4, 8, and so on

I'd suggest trying to do the vibrato with your entire arm, starting from the elbow and keeping your wrist straight and letting the weight of your hand guide the vibrato. I dont know if im explaining it right, I just picked up my cello to check how I do it

С удовольствием слушаю Ваше мастерство... Не представлял себе возможным так исполнять музыкальные произведения на контрабасе... Хотелось бы пожелать Вам, Лев, здоровья и новых творческих успехов, а так же выставляйте на Ю-тюб...

This would be extremely amazing if you could do this, but I’m sure you have better things to do😂. Can you make a video on die mesitersinger or sonata in e minor. I am currently playing these pieces for solos, and I would like to see a professional play them. This is because I can’t find videos with actually good people, lol
