I just listened again to your magnanimous presentation on 2300 years of Antisemitism. The power of your words like lightening left me both in awe and tears. The tears came at the end when you told us what the oldest scroll of Torah said. Many blessings Rabbi Wolpe with health sending strength.

Inspiring. I am not Jewish/no Jewish connections, but I have come to admire these capable, incredibly resilient but much-maligned people. Jews should walk tall in the face of abject ignorance and stupid, senseless hate.

I grew up in the deep south, southwest Louisiana, and were closer to African Americans. I had to deal with KKK on a weekly basis. I really understand antisemitism then and now. I was not exempt then nor now. I may have been an underground Jew, then from fear. I was always knew what I was then and now.

Enjoyed as always learning from your experience and personal perspective. Thank you Rabbi David J. Wolpe *(my Moshe), as I appreciate your sharing with us such introspective insight on our Jewish journey of being saddle along side dispersion with antisemitism and yet perhaps ironically I often wonder if in part it also focused us on our strategy, strength and heritage as Jews ✡️ Gut Shabbes Shalom Aleichem Best - Mordechai (*) Moshe Deliverer. One who gives freedom from distress and the ability to pursue one's way. Often understood in a "this-worldly" manner of political deliverance. 😌🫡😇 ⏰️🏃♂️☕️🥯📚✏️📖⏲️🤷♀️aka🤷♂️ 🇮🇲Threelegsoman🇮🇱

I'm glad that Rabbi Wolpe recognised that evangelical Christians are now among the most supportive of people to the Jews at this time. I find it interesting that he talks about the Christian - Jewish disagreement as a family problem, but didn't pay as much attention to the disagreement between Isaac and Ishmael. The Muslims, more than the Christians, make the Jews (and the Christians) more supernaturally godlike. They claim that we were somehow able to change all our scriptures, all over the world, under different rulers and in different languages - all in the same way. If we had been able to do that despite Allah wanting to preserve his words, we would have proven ourselves greater than Allah himself. As a Christian I am very glad that Christianity is now back on track and teaches that it was the sins of all of us that made the sacrifice of the Son of Abraham necessary. What ever the Jews (or more like the religious leaders of the Jews) did or didn't say Jesus died on a Gentile Cross by the hands of Gentile soldiers. I apologise for the centuries when the Christian church has not recognised this sufficiently and the Jewish people have suffered for it. Now, we both face the problem that Rabbi Wolpe talked about as being bearers of the conscience and the consciousness of sin that people want to get away from. Now it looks very much as though the Christians of Europe might end up like the people of Lebanon having to run from their own countries as the idolaters of Marx and Muhammad join together to destroy the Judeo-Christian heritage of the continent. We have let the spiritual sons of Ishmael come and take political control in London and other parts of Europe and we have been disarmed by false accusations of racism, when it should be the Arab supremacism of Islam and the racism coming from Marx that should be most evident to all. I hope that you will pray for us as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, all Israel and the diaspora of Jews across the world. L'chaim !

Rabbi David Wolpe lecture should (must) become part of the curriculum for high school and college students to get a better understanding that anti-Semitism is wrong and irrational. Rabbi Wolpe speaks there to the convert, let him speak to educate people, Any fair-minded person would be motivated to speak out against anti-Semitism after hearing his lecture. May he be heard by many people.

Indeed, Jesus and all f 16:47 irst followers were good Jews. Jesus never said something against His own people. He was a right Jew, tolerating no deviation from the law. If you read what He said about Torah, then you will see the difference between what he said and what others pretend.
@natepancer997010 ай бұрын
you spoke great detail of christian antisemitism, but hardly of Arab semitism. In recent times, Arab antisemitism have tried to annihilate Israel of all of its jews. Also, you did not address an importent religious component causing antisemitism as stated in various chapters of the Torah. You are very articulate and bright essentially giving psychological insight, leaving out explaining the reason of why only Jews are unique. --ben

That Anti-Semitism has been around for so long it seems the reason must be systemic and I wonder whether it is that to claim to be 'Gods' Chosen People' is felt to be a conceit.
@Islamophobiaisalie10 ай бұрын
Come on! Even the Christian’s agree on that. They were the chosen people to go into the holy land. That’s just history, whether you believe in God or not. It doesn’t mean they are special! It just means “chosen” to go into the land of Israel! You’re reading it wrong.

As a jew you don't have " to excuse" to be a jew, a jew is a jew like a christian is a christian, like other human beings, we have different religion and this makes us a little bit different. You qouted Rome ... the jews didn't pray to the emperor as a divine beeing... , the early christians didn't do that either and both were killed, burned, taken to the cross. Now I am going to listen the lecture - now 7:45 - ...

A brilliant lecture. BUT one of the many tragic consequences of the Gaza war is that references to the Jews as the exponents of conscience can precipitate only a wince and a reddening of the face. A war waged with maximal savagery, including the slaughter and maiming of children in their thousands and the starvation of millions has stripped us of the right to claim conscience, compassion or mercy as distinctive Jewish traits. As individuals, each of us may still heed the promptings of conscience, but the identification of the Jewish people as a whole with conscience is no longer persuasive. This is its own tragedy. And one elected monster in particular has brought it upon us.
