One of the best videos i ever seen you explain that what was BAD in every xpac as like everyone else is saying like "vanilla was the best" or "tbc was the best" it doesnt realy make any sence because the game have never been and never will be perfect. I think mop is gonna be "the best" xpac if blizzard is going the right way insted of nerfing everything that doesn't need to be nerfed.

Yo my dood! That was amazing video! I remember i was a rogue back vanilla wow and would always get fucked up by 2h shamans with the 2h mace from AV back in the day.. Been shaman since wotlk and damn can in say when i look back has shit changed! R.I.P. Vanilla 40 man Guild Merging days!

To sum up the early states of all the expansions for Ele Shammies: Vanilla: Respec Resto! GG! TBC: Hardcasting stationary turret gets trained. WotLK: Hardcasting stationary turret gets globaled. Cataclysm: Hardcasting stationary turret with huge mana problems. Anyone wanna guess what the MoP problems gonna be?

I've played on the same shaman since early 06. Personally TBC felt like the low point for my shaman PvPing. Still had a lot of fun and I liked the slower pace of PvP compared to later expansions, but I never felt as unwanted and helpless as a shaman as I did back then. Arena was never really my thing either, large scale battlegrounds and world PvP is what I play MMOs for. I think overall things are looking up for PvP in MoP.

Thank you for this video Arkey. I think you did a great job overall with this video! Really gave a good feel of how the game was at the time. I couldnt even remember half the stuff you talked about. Did you check a lot of patch notes? :P I do think you went too easy on Season 5 for Shamans. I remeber it. I was HORRIBLE. Worst season EVER. And it wasn't just DKs, it was Retardins (as they were called @ the time), too. They also used the /castrandom macro as well. Even swifty whined about it ^^

The general theme for Elemental seems to be that the spec is close to useless at the beginning of every expansion, while it then gets an massive buff at the first or second major patch in that expansion. Its sad to think that blizzard would stick to such a system, always fixing the classes in the order every expansion. To think, that Ele never will be viable early in an expansion is really sad. Which reminds me, that I should NOT play ele at the start of MoP :((
