My oldest sister was married not too long when her husband hit her. She immediately went home and told my parents and since then never went back. My parents got a lawyer for her divorce with absolutely no contact since then. The lesson is ZERO TOLERANCE IS ZERO TOLERANCE. One hit and he is out. To give someone a second chance is a big mistake.

@@whitneymighty4078 Thank you. It is a scary, tragic one to make...but is very possible. So many times, that is the number one line from abusive husbands/ boyfriends, who are found later to have murdered the missing person. They may or may not have intentionally killed them. Very hard hits to the body and head of a woman is all it takes...especially if she is petite. (But, some of them do intend to kill, of course. I am just saying sometimes it could truly be unintentional.) To the original commentor--what kind of mom was she? Did she treat you and your brother well? Did she seem to love you deeply? If so, chances are she did NOT leave you all behind intentionally or willingly.

GREAT acting. I grew up in a home like this and finally my Mom divorced him back in 1960. Life was a million times better once he was out. My Dad had zero problems beating up my Mom In front of 6 very little kids. We were Petrified of him. He had a great job and lots of friends and he ruined every trip, every vacation, every visit going back to the Midwest to see my Moms parents. My Mom worked through having 6 kids as a nurse and she kept an immaculate home and was all about her kids. Not him. He was all about himself. He even bought himself a brand new CONVERTIBLE Tbird. Not a practical car when you have 6 kids. He used it to cart his whores around in. He had to be a big shot. He never paid her child support even after the court ordered him too. She just worked more hours to support us. We lived in California and she had no one there to help her. My Mom was such a fabulous woman and she raised 6 of us all on her own. He was a wife beater, cheater and one mean sob!

It's seems unbelievable that a person could become so upset over something as little as a "touch" from a friendly neighbor, but it's true and "little things" keep adding up until he abuses. This makes me uncomfortable to watch because I've been through it. 😢 But it is reality, and it needs to be told, it is NEVER easy to leave ..

What a terrible woman this Marianne is. Defending her monstrous husband to her children and asking them to understand. If women walk out of abusive marriage and relationships like they should, there won't be so many psychopaths walking around. What a messed up notion this woman has. "He can't help himself". Really???? Why bring up innocent children in such an environment. I can't even begin to imagine why most women do this.

Wow...such terrible blame and judgment on your part. You truly have no idea. It is NEVER that easy. The abuser has brainwashed and manipulated them, usually threatening to kill them, if they leave. I have watched dozens and dozens of true crime cases where just that happens, as statistically that is the moment it is most likely to occur. A psychopath is born that way--whether women leave has no bearing on lowering the number of psychopaths!! 🤦 If you have not been in this situation, do NOT be so harsh to judge. Your words are discouraging, instead of empowering.

Why do women stay in abusive marriages? Sometimes, the reason they get married in the first place is to get away from an abusive parent, which means that when the marriage gets bad, they have no where to go. It maybe better now with shelters, but years ago, unless you had a place to go, you stayed. Young women get involved too fast without getting to know a person, and giving themselves sexually before marriage, puts a cheap price on the connection. Put a high value on yourself!

Those kids are great actors! But, to be honest, I think is this is the worst movie ever and it had a so/so ending. This man is not only a poor excuse of a husband, but also a very toxic father as well. It’s very clear that this creep doesn’t even love his wife or his kids! After he beats the living hell out of that woman for what she’s looking for at the middle of the night, she lies about why she is beat up to cover the fact that she is still living with this creep. Then when she comes home from the hospital to see her kids, this clown wrongfully accuses her of abandoning them, then throws her out. These kids are clearing calling her for her help! I mean WTF! 😤😤😤 But, honestly, the mother and the court are not much better either, I mean the mother could have done better by calling the cops to have this abuser arrested. And changing your identity is an OK idea if you don’t want to murder your toxic spouse. Plus, the court needs to step up their game and make a clear statement that the abuser needs to be sent to jail. Not the victim. This movie just doesn’t have a very good plot or a good way of handling these kinds of situations. Again, the only good thing in this movie is the kids.

My X husband started verbally abusing me the day after our wedding. It started to escalate and knew he'd end up hitting me. Six months and I was out of there. I'll never understand why women put up with this crap. They teach their kids it is acceptable. 😡

What is the point of providing 18 minutes of the movie? Do you not think that the viewers want to see the full movie. Very disappointed. Will never click on your channel, ever again!

A man that rises his hands at his wife, is NOT A MAN , is a looser, a coward, a nobody a result of being a victim of his past, he must seek help , but alone not with his wife as soon that one hit she musn't stay for a minute, he must be reported, to the police, his neigjbours ,his friends, his collages ,as for her....the is not need to said, broken men are very difficult to fix get your children out of that situation and send them back to their mother with a diploma for failure

I know I’m probably going to get a lot of Hate from this but I feel the real victims in these situations are the children. Why in the world would you have children or marry someone who verbally abuses you, much less physically abuses you. If my Husband ever tried hitting me I could never just sit there and take it. He’d be leaving with a black eye and in handcuffs. Nobody is going to control me ,speak to me with disrespect or hit me. Nobody! These women are pathetic! Especially for putting their children in harms way.

She was a very weak and ignorant woman. She was a easy prey unfortunately. Females like her put themselves in situations like that and want the world to weep for them when they had ample of opportunity to leave the first time she experienced signs of abuse.
