I'm just 2min and > These Gen Z kids don't know sh*t about sh*t. If we follow their rules of no shaming, no guilt society will descend into a degenerate dystopia. Look at 4chan, Twitter, Reddit, etc. anywhere you can be anonymous, that's how people behave without shame or guilt. That's what the real world would turn into. *BTW this video really starts to cook at **14:00** with the point* - how are men liberated if we're still expected to uphold our traditional male roles? "Men have always been liberated!" ....actually no, we very much are confined to our male role. It's a great point. Not one I've ever heard before.

Shame is social Guilt is moral
@TheBestPill-no2xp
@TheBestPill-no2xp Ай бұрын
Yup. And since women are AMORAL... Guilt is for men, shame is for women. They are both social course-correction concepts. *GUILT is a MORAL, INTERNAL compass men use to navigate their actions.* It doesn't matter if it's a religion, military regulations, or the code of a street gang. A man only needs a mirror to course correct once he accepts his script. *On the other hand, shame is a SOCIAL, EXTERNAL compass leveraged against women to manage their behaviors.* WOMEN DO NOT FEEL INTERNAL GUILT to enough degree to make them correct negative behaviors. The community around women must tell a woman the standards by which that woman can remain in the group. On our society, the guilt of men failing to meet standards is constantly talked about. On the other hand, concerning women, there is a war on shame itself. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle. G.I. Jooooooooooooooooe!
@Anglovox

"Shame" is brought by consistant application of healthy cultural mores & expectations, as it relates to personal behavior. Prevents problems. "Guilt" is born of personal regret....and through obsession, SO easily becomes mental illness. It doesn't necessarily do a THING to fix or address the respective personal shortcoming.

Shame definitely is important. In America there’s a freedom to practice religion, or not do so if you wish. Moving on from that though the laws that govern this country for example are examples of restrictions to stop the country from being a lawless wasteland. Social, and Societal norms are just a lesser example of demonizing people for doing/saying certain things. It’s important that shame exists because I feel like there’s a link between shame/demonization, and people not participating in certain practices. Whether that be sex work, polyamory, so on and so forth. I have to say this. Men do know what they want. It’s possible to acknowledge how difficult it is to get sex as a man, and still acknowledge promiscuity as being bad. For those who don’t understand it they just need to learn that reality is inherently sexist. We live in world where women receive more favorable treatment in comparison to men in the form of chivalry, and otherwise. A woman can accuse a man of sexual assault with no evidence causing him severe financial ruin, as well as resulting in him being punished societally/socially. The opposite side to that is that while it is harder to obtain if a man sleeps with a lot of women he’s praised while women are shamed if they do the same. There’s a Yin and Yang that exists that I just explained.

(15:05) Should have asked her to take him out to dinner, and pay for it! She knows damn well men are held to a higher standard than women! Women do not like being providers to men!💯

Guilt is knowing that you did something wrong and shame is humbling yourself in front of others. There is a very cut drive difference between the two of them.

Without shame anything goes and laws are irrelevant, arguing it should be applied when violence or a broken law is involved is erroneous if the people committing the acts don’t believe they should be shamed for it… the logic defeats itself.

But you could argue that they’re not committing crimes because of fear of jail not fear of shame no? I believe in Shame btw.

@@Kirbystare1992 that's the social contract reality of today in the west, I'm talking about if people in masse decided to deny the current social contract and act upon their own mentally constructed contract where they don't view such actions as shameful and go and commit them, we would likely call those people terrorist or crazy at the least.
