DIY: Body Butter for Dry Skin w/ HeyFranHey

Here's a fun DIY Body Butter! I teamed up with the lovely HeyFranHey to bring you this super simple DIY Whipped Shea Body Butter receipe. This stuff is awesome! Not only is my skin fully moisturized but my nails are strong too. This is also perfect as a DIY project for holiday gifts, presents or a project with your friends or kids

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/4 cup of Shea Butter (amzn.to/1fd1SgA)
1 1/4 cup of Aloe Butter (amzn.to/19Tuv2w)
2 table spoons of Vitamin E oil (amzn.to/1ccVdTk)
2 table spoons of Jojoba oil (amzn.to/1dWmnPW)
20 drops of vanilla essential oil (amzn.to/1gaOooJ)
2 drops of blended essential oil from Rain (rainafrica.com)
2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon for texture
When we made this the results right after were somewhat liquid so I put the jars in the fridge to solidify. However 2 weeks later the formula sure enough got to a whipped butter and not liquid at all even while outside of the fridge. I suggest starting with 2 tablespoons of oil of each and adding progressively

I love making my own Shea Cream. I add sweet orange essential oil, rosemary essential oil, and peppermint oil for a little kick. I also use the oil to seal moisture in my hair.

Love your videos Ms. Shameless! You're the ideal inspiration, distraction or motivator..all in one! My fave body butter recipe: 1 c. Raw Shea butter 1 c. Coconut oil 1/4 c. Vitamin E oil 20 drops Rose oil or whateve essential oil you like Instuctions: Make a double boiler w/ a medium-sized pot and a heat safe bowl. Mix the butter + oils until completely melted, then remove from heat. Add your essential oil, mix and then place in the fridge for an hr. Once semi-solid whip w/ a hand mixer on med-high speed for about 7-10 mins. Add more scented oil if preferred! Finally place into a glass jar (I like Korken lid jars or to reuse William-Sonoma spice jars!) P E A C E + L O V E + B A K I N G E

Inadvertently adding the cinnamon is a good call. Cinnamon is good for brightening the skin. Also, those mason jars can be found at any home goods/grocery store for the low too.

Love it!!! I actually need to whip up a batch like yesterday. I've been using Shea, coco butter, coconut oil, a little water and a citrus blend essential oil.
