If you're being realistic SC, BAMA, or OLE MISS would be teams no one in this field of 12 would want to play. They would be favored over half the teams. They would be north of 7 point favorites against Clemson, SMU, BOISE. Would Ohio st beat any of these teams? History indicates NO.

Here’s my argument as a Carolina fan. Yes LSU, Bama, and Ole Miss beat us; however, those are 3 Ranked losses. 2 of Bama’s 3 losses are from unranked Vandy and Oklahoma. Ole Miss lost to unranked teams in Kentucky and Florida. I don’t recall LSU’s losses, but on that alone, Bama and Ole Miss shouldn’t get in over Carolina.

Carolina has won 6 straight, the other 2 haven’t. We didn’t lose to an unranked team all season. They have. I’m not now, and won’t be angry at Bama or Ole Miss, if either get in before our guys. I hope our guys do. They’ve performed nothing short of a miracle. What I’m angry at is officiating during the LSU game. Jason Autrey f***ed our team out of a win and that’s what will cost us. 10-2 would’ve been the stronger argument over 9-3 Bama or 9-3 Ole Miss. Not only did refs rob South Carolina of the LSU game (2 called back touchdowns), both Lanorris Sellers & Rocket Sanders were hurt 2nd half. 99.9% guarantee that game is a win without those factors & they’d be 10-2. S Carolina has won 6 straight with multiple wins against top 25 opponents on the road. Yes, Bama and Ole Miss have the head to head wins, but Carolina has clearly improved tremendously in recent weeks. Lanorris is playing like a top 5 QB in the country. I have no doubt they’re the best team in the bubble right now.

I can only speak for ME, but I'm sure a lot of Clemson fans will agree that Clemson football is subpar of what they are capable of being. The past 2-3 years have been hard to accept. The point being is that beating Clemson in a comeback win by only 3 points does not rank all that high in the overall scope of things. Even 4-loss UL beat Clemson at our house by 8, and UL has beaten ZERO ranked opponents except Clemson. That tells me that neither Clemson nor SC really have a great chance to play in the CFP, and I'm a longtime Clemson fan, but I am realistic and not a sunshine pumper. I know eSECpn would love to get 1 more SEC team into the playoff, so you're spouting your usual nonsense. There are numerous teams more deserving than SC or Clemson, even though a miracle win against SMU automatically puts Clemson in. That might cause a lot of discussion IMO.
