He's 100% right. I was a BIG, BIG fan of the NWA (JCP) in the mid-'80's, When Ted Turner bought it and turned it into WCW, as far as I was concerned, the NWA was dead and gone. WCW was NOT NWA to me. Since that death, attempts to resurrect its' long-dead corpse have occurred, but to me, they weren't the NWA. The newest version is an NWA in name only; instead of an organization of allied promoters, it's owned by one millionaire rock star. I, ironically, would compare it to ECW; does ANYBODY think that zombie version owned by Vince had ANYTHING in common with the REAL ECW? Sorry, it's dead and long gone. So is the NWA. Remember those good times, because they are all dead and gone, and they're NOT coming back.

ECW was basically nothing until NWA gave them a platform to push forward the promotion cause it was a member of the NWA, from there they became what we all know as Extreme... But NWA made an impact overall to what Professional Wrestling is today Period, The Godfather of Pro Wrestling...
