more money is lost via corruption and legalised fraud in the financial industry than could even be imagined from these projects. If we weren't powerless vassals to international financial cartel we would be a rich country.

That's part of it. If we as a country don't have the infrastructure (decent roads, a decent rail system, a decent reliable ferry system, constant power etc) then how are we as a country supposed to export and import products from area's like northland, the west coast of both islands, central North and south islands?! Exporters need those roads to get their products to the rail yards, airports and sea ports. We need consistent relyable cheaper power for businesses to produce products, recycle waste paper, manufacture carpets, wood chips etc. Even the aqua farming needs all those infrastructures. Importing products still needs decent roading rail etc to get those products around the country. Get marsden point refining again or doing bio fuels. That way, we as a country are not relying on contaminated fuels, crappy bitumen for roads, flights etc. If we don't export how are we as a country supposed to pay for imported products? Or are we supposed to pay mega dollars for food, clothing etc?! Increase taxes so much to pay for hospitals, police, schools etc?! Thats after thousands more loose their jobs from not exporting.

Allow mining in National Parks, just tell them to replace the land they use with an acreage, somewhere else. We are slowly turning into a 3rd country because of previous governments' stupidity

Keep up your great efforts Shane and let's see New Zealand's prospects lifted out of the doldrums. We need to get the "FAST TRACK" bill working and the ecoconomy lifted. We also need to urgently reduce the burden of taxes and duties paid by New Zealanders and get more and more of our unemployed off benefits and into good paying jobs. The raft of efforts by the government must include significant lightening of the taxes and duties weighing us all down. GST is far too high! At the very least, GST on daily essentials should be removed. Fuel Duty reductions will feed through the transport sector and benefit wholesalers, retailers and end-users. A new TAX FREE 'band 1' (say, zero to $10k) urgently needs to be introduced to give relief to our lowest earners and those on fixed incomes. This increase in disposable income will benefit the retail sector. I could add more....

I voted NZF, still agree with the party and this choice in general but some of the choices were incorrect. Specifically the taranaki seabed project. It lost in the courts twice and is going to cause massive destruction. The real economic problems we have come from being coupled to a horrific and stupid banking system. These politicians refuse to admit the truth that our financial system (fractional reserve lending of fiat) is doomed and already collapsing. The interest we pay alone is gigantic. We don't even need to pay that interest, but theyre trapped in a financial system built to create vassals.
