What I liked about Pat shouting "This could be BOB ROODE's year!" is that when I was a kid, I honestly believed any wrestler or celebrity in it had a chance to win. Anytime the commentary hyped up some midcarder, I started to believe it. I wasn't old enough to realize they have to market and sell so many tickets with a big main event for Mania. I miss that belief more than Santa, and hopefully some kids got excited and buy some Roode action figures hopin' next year is his year.

So the Rumble was ruined by Shane usurping control, but also because he was pissed all of his ideas were vetoed? But also there weren't any concrete plans for the match until Brock pulled rank and insisted he look strong at the end of the show? All those things could very well be true to varying degrees but any time Vince is positioned as the levelheaded protagonist, my red flags go up. And I thought Shane was cheered for his leadership and most wanted him in a position of power, even though he's always had more drive than to be a wrestling guy. Not flat out saying Shane was a scapegoat but the portion I buy most was about WWE officials feeling embarrassed in front of Bad Bunny. Allowing an outsider to witness the company's haphazard, slapped ass ways and complete lack of clear communication. And all that crap has been memes for years. Pretty convenient time to fingerpoint when they're caught ass in the air. Heck, it wouldn't be the first time people have tried to blame one individual for solely introducing ugliness and "corrupting core values", despite that one individual merely exemplifying the qualities that org had nurtured on its own for decades.

Honestly I dont mind shane leaving if he insists on being an on screen character who does more then put people over. The fact they had him get the better of riddle in a striking exhange a legit mma and former ufc fighter thats where i draw the line on how much is too much shane. Its nice to hear the music when you havent for awhile but I have no interest in seeing him as an on screen character whether its in or out of the ring. Ive been tired of shane in the ring since his days of wrestling owens and zayn, so this is honestly a godsend for me and a best case scenario. His strowman stuff last year was bad enough it makes sense neither guy has a job that shit was embarrassing same with raw underground. Seems like anything with shanes name near it anymore has sucked

It wouldnt have been so bad if there wasnt a camera cut every 3 seconds, i counted the camera cuts in one of those segments just to see how many there were. I counted 86 camera cuts in that one 5 minute raw underground "fight" shit was embarrassing.
