In this video I put two impact drivers head to head. The Milwaukee M18 Fuel Gen 4 2953-20 and the Hilti 22 volt Nuron SID 6-A22. I compare specifications, features, how they feel, and see which one will drive a 1/2 inch lag bolt through a wood block the fastest in a best of three head to head challenge. Which one will win? Watch and see.

I have both, I think the Milwuakee walks circles around the Hilti. Also with past experience, I'm not fan of Hilti customer service either, really rude, they have a God like complex.

I own both, both are nice impacts, Hilti is better quality but the Milwaukee is more powerful as expected

I got the Milwaukee driver last year and sent it to get repaired because it keeps overheating and cutting out under load and bought another one to keep using in the mean time. The new one does the same thing and the first one came back with the same problem. They still work great for no load applications and are snobby and fit in tight spots. I just bought the hilti driver to complement my Milwaukee range because I need something that’s reliable and can perform when the situation demands.

The sort of application the Milwaukee was struggling with for me was putting screws through thick steel. What did it for me was cladding a steel column. I could put 1 screw through the steel before the driver overheated and I had to swap between the 2 to get the job done. They obviously have some sort of design flaw that causes them to get too hot.

I'd say the hilti battery has a huge advantage 21700 24v pack vs 18650 20v pack the output on the hilti battery has a much higher discharge rate than the 18v 4ah I think the Milwaukee will still win it's just badass

I like comparing brand vs brand. The guys in the shop and I are invested in Milwaukee. Company has some Hilti stuff. I love hearing other people's opinions on things. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Hilti has been famous for its rotary hammer for decades. I have an original rotary hammer made in Liechtenstein that has been in service for decades. Unfortunately the quality is not what it used to be, they make everything in China now. At that time Milwaukee was unknown in Europe, everyone used Hilti and Bosch. Today Milwaukee is preferred in Europe, including myself.

@ tamasfarkas7970, They still made de corded tools in Europe but also in China. I think Makita is still the best selling brand in Europe but also Metabo, Hitachi/Hikoki, DeWalt Bosch. But i agree about Milwaukee coming more and more. In my opinion the overall quality of Hilti is still the best unfortunately the price also. All most the big companies i know uses the Hilti fleet service they pay monthly for the tool, in this option they dont have to worry about broken tools and after 3 years you wil get a new tool.

Have you ever tested it on metal ? That’s where the difference is … I’m using both in uk right now and all the tested done in America are in timber but most the impact are used in metal here or concrete , always never in timber . I think hilti is overall a bit better than Milwaukee but has come a long way , that battery in the mwk moves a lot , cheap plastic compared to hilti as well .. I’ve dropped a hilti so many times and hasn’t had a thing

I'm not a fan of the shape of the hilti battery. I could see them getting in the way in tighter spots. Thanks for watching and for your opinion. I appreciate it.
