Great Band who I saw many times around the Middlesbrough area. I have the Fallen Heros album signed by Cliff Bennett, Brian Alterman and Pete Kircher. Unfortunately at that time Mick had left the band to re-form The Pirates and Pat Speedy King joined Manfred Mans Earth Band !!. The Fallen Heros album contains the best rendition of the classic Shakin All Over I have heard.

I saw Shanghai play at the Roundhouse 1976? Still remember the sharp suits. Great stuff.

Fantastic. Reminds me of seeing them whenever they played the Torrington in Finchley. Except that Cliff Bennet's voice is even better than I remember it.

If you search for "Shanghai Backbeat", there's a post-Shanghai demo of a song called "Rock 'n' Roll Floorboards" from 1979 that two of the group recorded.

Both Shagnai albums need to be reissued on CD. How long was there a 2nd guitarist for?
