Ooooh, that was a sneaky treat! Well I suppose it wasn't really that sneaky, but it felt a little clandestine. Closest I will ever come to staying in pricey bland hotel rooms, so thanks for the tour!

I like to check out hotel rooms, especially luxury hotel rooms. Thanks for the interesting tour of how the rich lives.

I had a wonderful Afternoon Tea at the Shangri-La. I didn’t have a room there though so it’s lovely to see more of this lush hotel! 🙂💜

I always wondered what its like inside. Before opening, their staff had some training sessions at George Brown as I catered them. I remembered them talking about a Nespresso machine for each room, and how they were going to make congee.

Great tour! Though I feel like you're just paying that big price for the view and fancy lobby and whatever dining they might have. The hotel room seems pretty standard to me, but that lounge chair looks comfy. Also love the marble bathroom and soaker tub though I stayed in a hotel room once with a soaker tub/jacuzzi and it was cheaper. Who would watch tv in the bathroom? lol. Love the artwork in the hotel and when you first come in.

Agreed. In fact my friend told me yesterday that to rent a hotel room with a jacuzzi in Niagara Falls is over $200.

Well Done Johnny, remember you can get to any building apartment block, just say to Security that you are thinking to rent in there and would like to see the facilities before you commit. They will let you walk through no problem, say that you can do it yourself and don't need their help. This way you can get wonderful shots from the top of the building, swimming pools, cinema rooms, etc..Speaking from my own experience...

hey Johnny ... LOVE this hotel & guest room ... Super elegant design & finishes ... Cost would also reflect location & amenities ... Would have been funny to see you ride your E-Scooter through the lobby & into the elevator ... Mark (T.O.) 🤪👍

The room itself is maybe 25% nicer than Cambridge suites which is the last hotel I stayed at downtown, mostly because of the electronic drapes, TV in mirror, and "clean room" buttons. Although the price was like 1/4 as much. I'm guessing the real difference must be in the hotel common areas which I didn't really spend any time in.

A very nice tour of the hotel & room. The room is a little expensive for my taste, but there are lots of folks that can afford it I suppose. CDN $800 = ~US$620 (as of today) Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's!
