It's an important part of maturing that not everybody arrives at and that is to except how life is in face it head-on with honesty. There is a great strength gained from this very simple shift in the way we perceive ourselves in the world. Shania has done her work.

After listening to her and seeing that she states she still has a singing voice problem, I believe it has something to do with her mother being abused and Shania not being able to speak up for her and making the abuse stop. I can feel a tie there. Has to do with the emotional pain tied into her dna through her mother. I'm so happy she is back.

Carolyn Logan she had Lyme disease also that threatened to stop her from singing forever. So devastating
@CarolynSueLogan7 жыл бұрын
Yes that is what they have been saying but if you have been watching for a while, she originally never mentioned lyme disease, for a long time. So the question is... really? But I read her book and it sound to me that it is an emotional issue.
@jamesmacgregor39117 жыл бұрын
Carolyn Logan It took doctor's a long time to determine that it was Lyme's Disease that could be the cause for Shania losing her voice. It was after she wrote her book that doctors gave her a diagnoses. Beforehand she just attributed it to emotional affects which had a psychosomatic effect called dysphonia which is a condition which squeezes the voice box. She was having a conversation with her doctor and he discussed several diseases that could have caused dysphonia and Lyme's Disease was one of them - which she had at the latter end of the Up! Tour in 2003/2004.

Yes, well I am a true believer that we cause some of the health issues that we have or get, like in the book "Heal Your Own Life". But Lyme is caused by a tick so possibly that is not the cause. I watched various times where she spoke of her childhood and the abuse on her mother and she felt helpless in helping her. It would make perfect sense if she were to lose her voice when she was at a low point in her life. Just my opinion of course. Thanks for responding.

And I didn't comment that in a bad way about her voice. Just an observation, I love Shania. I bought all her cd's.

yes, she has a condition the name i can't remember but it left her vocal cords damaged forever, so so sad but she still sounds great it's just not the voice we fell in love with.

honey owen, I know, but it's distracting by all the studio filtering to cover her limitations, making her sound robotic now.

David S. Shania had Lymes disease. It effected her vocal cords badly.
@Sabouma285 жыл бұрын
It’s called dysphonia
@iatinom225 жыл бұрын
Her vocal cords are fine, the problem is around, in the vocal nerves. They are semi paralyzed so she can`t project her voice like she used to, wich is obvious when she talks. So, I don`t care if she needs help to record. She is doing what she likes and her skills for singing even with limitations are still there. Nobody can prevent her from doing what she loves, and I love her for that.

Shania... Produce your own. 4 producers on this album says they don't share your vision or know your sound. Heck try Richard carpenter. He believes in keeping one's vision and sound. Heard you lived Karen as we did so try it. Just an idea
