For the record, they took a 30 second clip of what he said. He wasn't trying to say "everything is okay", in fact he said the exact opposite. He was just saying that there is a lot of good in this country. Dabo was also saying that he believed the kneeling for the anthem created more division. He said multiple times there are serious issues that need to be addressed. He just believes that the division in our country is only getting bigger, and in the past year since his comments it only has gotten more divisive. That story Shannon told about his friend and the coupon hit home for me, man. A few months ago I was at autozone getting oil for my truck, mind you I'm the third one in line. The woman at the register asks the first two people did they have an autozone rewards card or would they like one. They both denied, paid for their items and left. In fact immediately after that he says there are still tons of problems and we need to call them out where we see them. All he was saying with those points was how much Martin Luther King Jr helped change this world. And that his way of doing things by Loving Jesus and loving people actually helped and did a lot of good. You can't say what he said and take it out of context.
