I was one of the only female breakdancers in Split Croatia at this time and this was my main theme song I would dance with the rest of the boys...I loved the rythym and lyrics were just a even better match.

anyone know if there a modern piece of hardware that can be connected to the TB303 that can give it that low end via CV instead of the 202? I have a few vintage drum machines but I was looking for something newer if possible.

In order to thicken the bass sound of the TB303 do I necessarily need an MC202 or can I use something different like a DSI PRO2 or a Moog Sub37 ?
@DuckTronic3 жыл бұрын
You can of course use another synth with deep bass. I don't know exactly how it was done in the original. Maybe it's enough to boost the low frequencies of the 303. Just try what sounds best for you. 🙂

@@DuckTronic I am ordering a Roland TB-03 Boutique Series and a Behringer DR-8. The original TB303 is way to expensive, not mention the TR808
@DuckTronic3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the originals are unfortunately very expensive. But the clones are enough to have fun. 👍
@PaulHayesey3 жыл бұрын
I suspect a Behringer MS-1 will have the same effect I believe the synth in the MC202 is basically the same thing (as an SH101 which the MS-1 is a clone of).
@PaulHayesey3 жыл бұрын
thought I'd have a quick go at this to see if I could get a decent sound using any old keyboard/synth. Just used a cheap yamaha pss680 to add the bass and it worked quite well! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHeznIx7fq5sjMU

After the keyboard, there seems to be a whip sound I can’t really impersonate it with voice. But you didn’t cover that and I was wondering what that sound was. Is that in the drum machine? It’s right before the song starts playing. Like a long whip sound as I said. Sorry for my vague description.
