I have seen this video so many times because it is just so awesome. I like how the music unintentionally sync with some of his movements. I like the song, and holy crap, those front HEAD springs are just fricken ridiculous. If I could do half of the stuff this guy could, I would die happy.

Monks spend countless hours of the day doing chores, reading scriptures, or meditating. In the early days, it was noticed that many lacked the energy to do these tasks. When basic exercises was introduced, they found that the monks were able to do mundane tasks much more efficiently. Later on a fighting system was developed not only for self defense, but also for keeping the monks in shape so they can perform better in their tasks.

well they didn't used to fight a long long time ago, but bandits kept trying to raid them and steal their treasures and stuff, so they developed the fighting styles over time, at first it was just for defense, but it grew into a meditation practice as well.

Oh, I know that much. But, both Northern and Southern styles have forms that look very creative and unique, with movements that will not be used in a fight. So when someone bashes a form they see, I tend to just tell them, "The forms are for show. Each style has practical movements that are very effective in fighting."
@DragonKnightKing15 жыл бұрын

If you get drunk , you be much more powerful with the form?
@Beanpolr3 жыл бұрын
@@karatekid3153 The original point of drunken Kung Fu is that it makes you very unpredictable in a fight and your opponent might underestimate you if they think you're distracted or not ready. It doesn't make you stronger per se, but it's essentially meant to confuse.
