Hi Jake! I started training in Japanese Shotokan at the age of 19 to help with withdrawal from my medications for Epilepsy. Later I started a Chinese system Taijutsu which introduced me to Tai chi. I just turned 49 in may and suffer from carpel tunnel syndrome. I have been told that I need to have surgery to correct the problem. I really hope that Qigong will prove modern medicine wrong! Martial Qi-Gong is a fantastic base for external. One must learn to crawl before they can walk. Thanks Jake, fantastic work my friend.

The qualify Qigong master wouldn't heard their sound of breath. If you talking about Yoga, you should breath with belly not lung. WARNING: Peoples, not try it at home, without a real master instruct beside you. DON'T start learn Qigone by yourselves, cause it may cause harm (in Chinese terms :走火入魔- my English not good enough to translate it well). Remember, YOU SHOULD STOP AND RELAX /CLAM DOWN ONCE YOU FEEL DIZZY OR SICK WHILE PRACTICE! Good Luck! BTW, This is no Qigong.

Bernardfung - This is traditional Wai Dan Qigong. All of your comments above are wrong, ignorant, and incorrect! People like you should stop treating Chinese Qigong like an X-Men power that can "hurt you" in the wrong hands! That is such BS. Internal and External Qigong should be practiced EVERYDAY and practicing wrong is BETTER than not practicing at all! Yes, you MAY start learning Qigong by yourself. But you will learn better and have more fun when you learn with a good teacher and have a spirited group of students training with you once in a while! This style of Qigong is NOT relaxed, it is to build the body, focus the mind, and purify the internal body! :)

+Kung Fu & Tai Chi Center w/ Jake Mace You are the one who treat kung fu and qigong as X-men power and do the BS in youtube. A lot of people don't really understand the Chinese culture , most of impression were from China town or movie. You are taking this as advantage to fooling around. Maybe you never see someone went wrong while practice qigong. I never treat any qigong or martial arts as x men power. You comment me BS for I said "harm". Which means you are not doing real qigong or don't understand qigong. Practicing wrong won't better than not practicing, "Qigong" - is the way of breathing. My friend did felt dizzy once while practicing (ok, not your Wai Dan Gong). As you said, training int. & ext. focus bababah.......well, this is the part will hurt when things wrong. No one gonna help you if you alone. We are in the modern world, hundred things may make you distract. The most dangerous part while pratice real qigong is distract. You need empty your mind and focus on body. A lot of Kung fu (actually,the exact meaning of Kung Fu is combat skill) label qigong or gong, but actually not that deep or just people misunderstand. And you are just in-serious one. Treat Kung fu like people impression about 70's and just always mention Burce Lee. Feel sorry for your fans. Oh, I almost forgot. you called this Wai Dan Gong right? You don't even do it right or teach it right. What you do is just find some books or videos, then copy everything that you think you already master them, as usually. There are no book called "Kung Fu for dummy", Kung Fu is not fast food. If you misunderstand I take it like Xmen, then you are the one who treat Kung Fu like Matrix. Plugin few minutes, then tell people "I know Kung Fu".

+Kung Fu & Tai Chi Center w/ Jake Mace one more thing, the 'hurt' things not that serious in Wai Dan Kung, sorry about that cause you dont seems like doing it in this video. For the beginners, you dont have to start up as this long.
@Bernardfung20028 жыл бұрын
+Kung Fu & Tai Chi Center w/ Jake Mace oh, start delete someone comment? what about your humble BS? Travel to China every year right? Now I can see what kung fu you learned from there: suppress the freedom of speech.

Bernardfung2002I know in the 沖縄の武道 or Okinawan Matial Arts we use the 丹田 or Tanden to draw the 気. That when we practice 息吹 or Ibuki we want to focus on the 腹 or Hara and 丹田. And our 準備運動 or Junbiundo is some what different then what I seen here. But I know it each art may have a little different focus then other arts. Thank you for sharing.
