What people don't understand is this went from a flat sheet to a perfect part with just a few days of tutelage. These people have minimal experience and basically become metal shapers after a couple of Wray Schelin classes. It's very impressive

You Get it!!! Most people think the tools make the shaper, it is the correct techniques that make things happen. If you have patience you can do shaping work that will look like you have 20 years experience, even if you had zero prior shaping experience

Magnificent once again. Just love all those compound, convex, mind bending flowing shapes. Wray, you are a real asset to the industry.

Wray I miss seeing your working videos always an inspiration. I’m beginning to master the shrinking disc on my S3 Jag bonnet. Typical bad body work from the seventies or eighties using the 16 penny nail for the body filler worms. The rust 911 is amazing, geez I’ve picked up lost of tips from your videos even made a wooden slapper.

Showing your students projects is great but would be nice to see you back in front of the camera showing HOW those great shapes were made. At this point its just a add to come and take my classes.

I would describe that shape as "voluptuous".

I would love to bring my dad out and spend some time in your shop learning how to work aluminum
@jimzivny1554 Жыл бұрын
Beautiful work, I'd love to see how the front sections of aluminum were formed. There's a lot of manipulation of the metal in that process

What kind of shrinking was done? Heat shrunk with a torch and then hammered the metal into itself?
@proshaper Жыл бұрын
Yes, heat, beat, smooth. Metal is Clay.
