I was still in shock on what have transfired in the 95 finals againts HOUSTON.. I think if my teams did met in the ECF. KNICKS and MAGIC.. I believe THE KNICKS will win in 6 over the young MAGIC.. And will have a great chance in dethroning THE ROCKETS in a rematch in the finals.. even though the PACERS did lucky enough in disposing the KNICKS due to a missed layup by EWING. I Still find it the KNICKS is the much more superiour team than INDIANA to be honest

I remember watching this a day or so after my Rockets beat the Spurs to win the West. I wanted Orlando to win because I enjoy watching them play, Shaq and Penny were two of my favorite players and I figured because of their youth and inexperience they’d be easier for the Rockets to beat. Turns out I was right.

Underrated in NBA annals is the quiet rivalry between Shaq (a top tier arguable top 10 -20 all time player) vs Reggie (a periphery star with clutch greatness): 1993 The Pacers steal the 8th seed from rookie Shaq in Orlando. both teams are 41-41 and teams on the rise by 1993-94 in a vacant, Jordanless NBA 1994, The Pacers sweep a #4 seed 50-32 Orlando Magic as a fifth seed 47-35 team and defeat Orlando 2-0 in Orlando. 1995, The #1 Magic defeat the #2 Pacers 4-3 in the 1995 ECF. 1996, The Magic are 60-22 and #2 to Chicago's 72-10 and the Pacers are 52-30 and #3 seed, the Magic and Pacers split the 96 regular season 2-2 and are destined to faceoff #2 and #3 in the second round but Reggie only plays game 5 vs #6 Atlanta in the first round, scores 31 points but loses 3-2 and miss challenging Orlando for 3 straight seasons. 1997, Indiana slumps, Orlando drops to #7 seed as Shaq leaves for LA, LA wins one playoff series and loses to Utah 4-1. Orlando loses to Miami 3-2 with Penny as main star and catalyst. 1998, Indiana is 58-24 and challenging 62-20 Chicago 4-3 in 1998 ECF. LA is 61-21 and gentleman sweep 61-21 Seattle 4-1 before being swept by Utah 4-0 in a surprising 1998 WCF. 1999, The PAcers choke vs New York. The Lakers win one playoff series and are swept by Duncan and RObinson's Spurs 4-0 in the second round. 2000, The 56-26 Pacers vs the 67-15 Lakers in the 2000 NBA Finals, Shaq and L.A. win 4-2 vs Reggie and Indiana. Indiana was on and off from 2001 to Reggies's retirement in 05 while LA won 3 titles from 2000-02 and made another appearance in 2004 vs the team that defeated Reggie's Pacers in the 2004 ECF. Shaq moved to Miami in 04-05, Reggie's final season and Shaq eventually wins his 4th and final ring in 2006 with the Miami Heat. Shaq vs Reggie is low-key classic NBA rivalry

Shaq was my favorite player and followed his entire career. Though it was great watching him 3 peat in LA with Kobe and crew, this 95 Magic team will always be my favorite. They were so in sync as a team and had that love for each other as teammates. The break up of this team was all the horrible Orlando front office letting the franchise walk out. Still gets me upset to this day.

@@melvynsngltn27 That was simply a bad matchup Dream wasn't as effective in the paint against the Sonics because they could pull him away from the basket and Kemp dominated against the Rockets fowards who weren't the rebounders Thorpe was Rudy T couldn't really make any adjustments against that, the Rockets 2nd leading rebounder was Drexler who was a guard. With Thorpe not only was he was able to help out with the rebounding he could also score inside when Dream was getting double teamed which in turn opened up the Rockets shooters more on the perimeter, without him it made it easier for the Sonics to double team with the other Rockets just standing on the perimeter. The Magic getting swept by the Rockets wasn't matchup related because on paper they shouldn't have lost in such lopsided fashion considering their talent.
