I am a woman and have thrown on my backpack solo been to some off beaten places and where they say women should not go. The wildest PNG (Papau New Guinea) when I got off the plane realized I was the only woman on that plane and it was like National Geographic, however, I met so many local people, stayed in the jungles with village people who treated me awesomely and never once did I feel in harm. Shaq, is spot on just treat people with respect and you will be treated the same love, love him for his kindness and love for others.

00:15 That's at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba in Havana :) I stayed there for a couple of nights a few years ago. Much too expensive for what it actually was... If you ever visit Cuba I advise you to stay at "casas particulares" which are private accommodations like Bed&Breakfast. Much better value for money. It's cleaner, the breakfast is better, the hosts are very friendly and hospitable. Not every hotel I went to was bad but they were too expensive without exception. The private rooms I had were more authentic and cost like 30-40% on average. Just my two cents.
