Hi there, I am following along to set up a test site at our company. For some reason when I am trying to edit the quick link to go back to my "main" site - it's giving me the message: " We couldn't verify this link. Please check the link and make that your site members can view it.". They can view it and I've simple copied and pasted the link as you illustrated. Any idea why this is not working for me??

how did you get your pages to open up in the same tab. currently whenever i press and link or button it loads a whole other tab. by the time im done with my session i have 20 tabs open

hi peter, this tutorial useful for me, bu i have some question, can the content of page (pie chart/video/visio file) maintenance in SharePoint. i mean the content is automatically change when we click the button like "Make Homepage" at sitepages. thanks for your help

I am glad you enjoyed the video ! Yes, there are lots of ways to automate things in SharePoint. Power Automate and PowerShell are my favorites. To do specifically what you ask though is far from trivial. As far as I know it requires a developer or a 3rd party tool.

Yes. there are lots of different ways of doing that. However, Microsoft are doing it more complex with modern web pages.

I followed the steps but you didn't mention where you got the coloumns. How can I create a column inforamtion in managed properties and show on each line?

What was good explained in the video is how to add URLs to an intranet. And if the links was added it is rendered by the Sharepoint engine to a pleasant visual representation. WHat is missing in the video is the advice that adding a link can be done with the AutoIt tool for scripting Windows operations. The autoposter has to search for the form, drop the link from a table and then submit a simulated keypress to the ok button.

wouldnt it be a better suggestion to use the Global Navigation to build your links from site to site rather than the Quicklinks web part.

Yes, you are right - the global navigation is a better way to do it, but I wanted to show both ways in my demo.

+kalmstrom.com Let's say you have a site collection with content and now you need to create an intranet. Knowing that the communication site creates a site collection of it's own, Would you create an intranet using communication site ? If not, then what would you use instead ?
