I'm a 38yo Black Man and find those anti-cop messages as disgusting. I reject BLM because, that is what it's attracted. I respect most law enforcement and respect who they are and what they do and say to those people who don't like them to stop calling 911 if that is their outlook. They don't speak for law abiding black people like me and my family. Just dropping a line to let it be known and call it out. I really enjoy this channel by the way and only come with my mind, passion for history and love for channels that do truthful history justice. Keep doing what you do and believing how you believe. You're a good honest man, Jeff. Same goes for Sarah. Stay safe you two!

Precisely! As you do your history videos, Jeff there are those who spend their entire day trawling the Internet, looking for some content to pillory here and there. And it won't just be your channel, which I'm sure you can divine from the calibre and content of their comments. Every KZbin channel has them, and Facebook, TikTok etc. It's unfortunate that they come with the territory. Ignore them. That really dreadful post exhorting people to "disdain" police .. did you report it to your local police station? You ought to because you don't know if this person is minded enough, armed enough to actually do something himself. The last thing you'd want, Jeff is for something dreadful to happen, then know in hindsight that you may have prevented it. You keep doing what you do, the way you do. It's what we love you for! 😊

Sir. I’m so sorry for all the bad comment. You do make a difference and I pray you have a second to read. I’m a disabled vet, ex military contractor and retired deputy sheriff. I have severe ptsd and many health issues related to each job. Due to my head issues and pain I would and still do drink to relieve the pain. Since watching you, Sats and Sundays we take our walk, have some coffee and watch our new favorite channel on the World Wide Web. On these days, no drinking. Your my new and improved ptsd medication. Jeff and Sarah, I watch several other KZbin channels where creators occasionally share some of the negative comments they receive. This to me is always quite illuminating. One thing you don’t really know is the age of the writers, their educational background (‘though that’s probably not too hard to guess), and also if they’re on whatever drug(s) they fancy. Generally people who can’t appreciate when somebody is trying to create something positive, and those who are hypercritical - are missing some important elements in their lives. From my own experience I find that people who don’t have much of a creative talent often are the first to criticize you. They should be invited to start a KZbin channel on any subject and see how well they do. Any authors who have to drop f-bombs show a distinct lack of creativity. How sad when that’s the only word they know to describe how they feel! Fortunately most of your audience is thoughtful and well manned. They appreciate you and the value your channel brings into their lives. Those who leave negative comments… how sad you have nothing better to do with your time! Stop putting people down and learn how to be a positive influence. You’ll make more friends this way! Keep up the great work! Looking forward to future segments! I grew up in Southern California and love your videos. Hearing details about many places I have visited there is very interesting. I am 80 and have lived in Texas since I was 19 years old. I love Texas just as much as I love California. I have many happy memories of camping trips with my family and day trips to Mojave desert, the mountains and fishing in the Pacific Ocean. While listening to the good comments I found myself smiling about most of them and there were a few that actually brought tears. Then the bad comments came - my jaw dropped. It's really hard to believe we have people that horrible walking around. The comment about the 4 young Highway Patrol officers who were gunned down was totally disgusting. Like you said there are bad apples in any profession but I believe most of the law enforcement officers are there because they want to help people. On a lighter note - I love your channel and enjoy getting to travel all over the country with you and Sarah seeing places wouldn't have a chance to visit. Jeff and Sarah, I’ve been a viewer for a few years and enjoy them. Your videos have helped me in the last year. I was dealing with long Covid and couldn’t do much of anything. I was born in California and lived there until 1999. I’m in Seattle now and really miss my home state, so I really like seeing California through your eyes. I am sorry that you are dealing with the negative comments. Hope you will keep going. Your work is very professional, well researched and interesting.

Do not let the bad take away from the good, like you said, there will always be haters. Your videos are awesome, I love them. I especially loved the one on Deadwood, I felt for you being out of breath, I was fortunate enough to have been driven up and all through the cemetery due to a disability. I recently found your channel and very much enjoy the content and history you share. Much of your content strikes me with "Oh, I remember that" or that I had heard a bit here and there. Quite nice to get indepth context and background, and to actually see the locations. Sadly, there will always be haters and posters who have nothing but negative things to say. Unfortunately this video will not shame nor change them. It's the world we live in, perhaps due to the nature of the internet, where many have lost their "filters" and pop off with heartless and hurtful comments. But the reality is that such things only tell about who they really are.

As a overseas viewer / subscriber, I enjoy your commentary on your content. As I am unaware of some places you share. I've showed some to my parents ( eg. old movie locations) and they where impressed with your informative presentation. Don't worry about the 'Key Board Warriors.' They have no idea of the effort put in to showcasing, studying and editing videos. If they can do better, go ahead. Keep your channel on the path you know works. Thankyou Jeff & Sarah.

Jeff, I am so sorry you get such horrible comments! I have been a follower for two plus years! I find your content excellent. You put much research and effort into each video. This country has gotten so angry! People spout off and hurt others with not a second thought. I am worried about what our grandkids will have when they are adults! It’s easier said than done to let the bad comments roll off your back. There are people who really appreciate what you and Sarah do for us! If I was there I’d give you both a hug and take you for a beer or other drink! Thank you for all you do!

I've traveled the entire US in my 45 years of being in the construction industry and you have been spot on with your reporting. You're a better person than those folks with substandard morals.
