im a firm believer in the phrase "im cringe but im free." i spent too long bullying myself and letting myself get bullied for my "cringe" hobbies but idc anymore, im boutta turn 25 and ive been cringe and free for about 4 years and its awesome

Hell ya! Excited for this ovo Glad you went more in-depth with your zines and explained where you were in life when creating them. I relate hard to knowing you want to start your own creative business but being scared of going after it

Thank you for requesting this video, it was fun to discuss the context behind my zines. I know venturing off into doing art cull time or starting your own business is very hard (I totally know, no days are easy but I wish they were LOL) BUT no matter how challenging, it’s always worth it to bet on yourself. I think the issue on the third issue of the You kind of suck series is from the Zine/independent comic/in the mainstream comic world usually first issues always sell well either by selling them on TikTok or by spectators that buy the Zine and collect them. Issues number two and three don’t sell as well as the first issue. I'm not too sure but it's what I've heard.

The office crossover is a very creative idea for a zine! I think when you include any fandom there will always be crazy gatekeeping fans. Now that is cringe.

Im watchinf your videos non stop and have a question: do u use indesign for preparing your zines pages? How do you prepare your archive to print them? Thanks for your time!

I’ve never used indesign, I’m sorry! For my mini zines I use Procreate on my iPad and follow a template I made myself. @@brattyxbre I always save the pages as pictures and print them. But they always end up one page larger than others. But if I cut them to align, The larger pages will lose content. the struggle!! Thanks for your resources and time for answer

The struggle is real 😭 zine making is heavy on trial and error haha so what I’ve learned is I always measure my zine before printing pictures out and reduce it by an inch all around (if that makes sense!) So when my zine is 5.5 x 8 I make sure my pictures are like 4ish inches so they fit on the pages. Hope that helps!!
