I had a real problem getting my power head apart, and your video really helped. I'm guessing Shark don't really want people taking these things apart, as they're not straightforward. Now I just need to get a replacement brushbar. Ours tried to eat tinsel a Christmas or two ago. The tinsel was metal wire inside which cut groves into the body of the brushbar, and damaged the yellow flaps (I don't know what they're really called), and that now catches hair and wraps it around the bar, and considering we bought the anti hair wrap model, it's now not living up to its name.

I only wanted to clean the plastic window as it was looking a bit tatty. Bugger that after seeing the amount of work that is required to get to it. Shark could really make it a bit easier.

Thank you so much for this video. Our shark duo is only 6 months old, and the lights were flashing, meaning the roller was stuck. So we watched this, and dismantled it, then found that the left hand roller belt had partially slipped off the wheel. 😬 we managed to fix it, and now its fine. It is obviously a really poor design fault by Shark. If we had sent it back, we would have had a 2 month wait for a replacement. I highly recommend people watch these videos if they have a shark hoover. 👍

Hi. generally most modern sharks use the Torx T10 and T20 bits, they need to have the whole in the end, and possibly just normal Philips or Pozi screwdrivers however not always, I’ve had the exact same models and found I had to hunt for different size bits but I buy the long sets of eBay for I think around £7.50 I think,

Sorry but I don’t understand the point of your comment, I am not comparing cordless to corded vacuums, it is down to personal choice and to what job you are doing, for example on a building site with no electricity then cordless vacuum cleaners are essential in some circumstances just like cordless power tools, but you found your favourite and that’s great.
