I personally have this particular unit and I upgraded to the pet model and I got the two additional batteries and also the motorized many nozzle and I have to say I love this way better than the Dyson V10 or the 11 like I said the V 11 I used the power brush locked up and the battery was getting so hot during the youth before it completely drained down that I took the piece of junk back this one here is really nice especially when you're cleaning under tables and Furniture you can bend that arm down and you don't have to take and get on your hands and knees with that like you do with the Dyson plus it just gobbled up everything in its path I tell you what I have a Kirby and I have used my car and then I went back over it with this and it pulled out so much dirt I was just totally shocked and I vacuum my carpets every single day sometimes twice a day. I have to say I'm really impressed with this and I was having problems with my battery and they sent me out to additional replacement batteries for free so I have a total of 3 Batteries Now for this unit

I have the US dual battery version I bought as a refurbished from Woot here for 140 shipped. I've been very satisfied with it so far. It cleans up the vynil floor area my parrot Dobby drops his small to big crumbs on nicely and does just as well on the low pile carpet in the rest of the house. Mine is 2 battery version so it runs till the first battery starts flashing and shuts off and I swap to the second. It runs about a week running it for usually 10 minutes at a time in normal speed going between floor and carpet mode, then I swap batteries. I have a cheap robot that cleans every day then use the Shark to clean up the missed areas and the birds area. I have a couple of old school upright and canister Royals I use when my floors need a deep clean that will never die. If you can't afford or don't like the Dyson versions this cleans just about as well or better and a removable and replaceable battery is a awesome feature. It's also quite a bit cheaper.

I've had mine since Dec 2017 although I had stopped using it for awhile because it kept overheating. I was about to replace it with the new Dyson V15 but after figuring out that I needed to clean the filter inside the dust bin it's now working normally. I'm back In luv with it again. I may still buy the Dyson but now I have a choice. I keep an old Shark Rocket as a backup but I've grown to utterly detest corded vacuums

I love your videos Roger but I did feel that the video was cut a bit short, and I was a bit disappointed that you didn't do your usual unboxing. However back to the vaccum, I think that shark have made a mistake with the main roller not being removable due to the fact that they always get lots of hair and carpet string wrapped around them, and they've made it more difficult to remove hair and string on this model I think.

The powerheads on Shark cleaners are very well designed, with those handy headlights💡 - other manufacturers should take note.

Huh? It looks clumsy and awkward. I don't need a soft roller on my carpets but it's always there pushing dirt and hair in before the brush bar gets to where I need. Poor design in my opinion.

Have the pet hair and newer version of this and Love It. You could give me the most expensive Dyson + money and l wouldn't swap. I had a few Dysons and they were always heavy or the dust pan was too small and you need a manual to practically switch the thing on. The Sharks come with switches that have writing on them to tell you what they. I think perhaps the earlier models were more problematic. As for being pretty, my vacuum is not on display and the last thing l think about is aesthetics. Plus l can't think of anything uglier than a large yellow ball on a hoover!! We have a papillon who leaves white hair everywhere but the Shark is definitely up to the job. As a disabled person l find it light and very easy to maneuver especially on stairs. As for getting your fingers dirty, a simple chopstick will clear the hair and fluff that doesn't empty easy. A great instructional video though and good for reference. Thank you.

My employer just got this vacuum. I had to watch a video because it's not intuitive in my opinion. So far I've had a lot of trouble emptying the bin. The door just won't open easily. Glad to see where all the filters are to clean them. Glad to learn how to use it as a canister vacuum. I don't know if holding that bulky top will be very convenient when the tools are attached. So far not liking it much. Lots of hair and fiber is wrapping itself around the brush head. I can't remove it so I'm stuck picking out hair and long carpet fibers with my fingers. Disgusting and so old fashioned. My Dyson animal (got used on Craigslist) is designed much better. Yes, it's corded but I don't mind that. The suction is amazing and I didn't need a video to figure it out. Oh well, I got the good one for cheap (150$) and my employer got the bad one for full price.

I have never been a fan of Shark but I have to admit, I think they have beat Dyson on the Duo clean vs Dysons Fluffy.
@hard2bear31105 жыл бұрын
But if you have lots of carpet, it's always there for no reason. If anything it pushes the dirt in before the brush bar gets to it on a carpet...
@ibaisaic5 жыл бұрын
I agree, the DuoClean head is far better than the Dyson on hard floors, but the Dyson beats the Shark on carpet.

It all looks so cheap and tacky, it looks like something from early 2000 not 2018 or whenever it was made. Same with Vax, design just isn't there, filters poorly designed, brush bar difficult to get to or remove. How is this stuff meant to compete and challenge Dyson...I know it's cheaper price wise but it's clear why unfortunately...
@ibaisaic5 жыл бұрын
Shark have already challenged and beaten Dyson in the USA as they are the number one floorcare brand there. They are also the fastest growing floorcare brand in the UK. Yes, it’s not as good as the £600 Dyson V11, but it is £400 cheaper.
@hard2bear31105 жыл бұрын
@@ibaisaic but that's all they have challenged Dyson on, price, hence why people buy them. People don't look after their cleaners at all so I don't see performance holding up as well on these as it would a Dyson with their poorly designed filters clogging up as soon as you use them. I know it's a vacuum and not a work of art but Shark, Vax etc use such cheap looking plastic, the shapes look clumsy and dated, and so many of the design choices are just poorly thought out, like the jack of all trades dual clean. I have 1 hard floor and a roller on my vacuum permanently...
@ibaisaic5 жыл бұрын
I own most Dyson and Shark models and there are pros and cons of both, but the Shark DuoClean head cleans my hard floors better than the Dyson fluffy head. When I bought a V10 I went for the model without the fluffy head because I knew it would remain unused. Shark have done two things on their cordless models that Dyson stubbornly refuse to do, removable battery packs and a constant on button. You clearly prefer Dyson and that’s your choice as it’s your money. Ultimately my preference is for German made, bagged, mains powered vacuum cleaners that will certainly outlast any of the current cordless offerings from any manufacturer.
@hard2bear31105 жыл бұрын
@@ibaisaic oh I agree and I don't think Dyson are perfect at all, I think the V10 is too heavy in the hand and the V8 is the sweet spot for weight and shape. I just find it frustrating that some other manufacturers don't catch on to little design changes that Dyson have made over the years. With regards the swappable batteries, I'm sure this is down to heat. In max mode Dyson stick vacuums run very hot, especially as they keep getting more powerful they generate even more heat. If you could just keep swapping batteries then the motor would never have time to cool down and rest, by not making this an option you are forced to stop and rest the motor for a charge cycle or at least half an hour or so before you could even use it again. With other brands this isn't an issue because they don't have the same power and thus heat, although I believe you have to let shark battery packs cool before a charge? So I think this is Dyson ensuring the motor life.
