Cool. I might get this. I just happen to realize cleaning with water saves on the chemical cost too. This looks like a unique product for floors meeting a sweet spot between cost and function because it's doing a little scrubbing. I can't imagine how long that would take me to do all that scrubbing.

We wanted to buy a steam mop to save money on swifter wet and dry pads. We also wanted something natural that would still clean. After using it for several months I noticed the floors are clean however they are very dull and you can see swirls on the floor afterwards. I’d almost rather waste the money on swifter wet pads. They cleaned well and left the floor shinning. I wish Shark had a safe additive to add to the machine to leave a nice shine.

I caught my 2 mode on sale at Walmart and was initially happy with it. My floors are not filthy filthy by any means but it took me a month this time. I have a large hardwood floor great room and hall. Tile in kitchen and two bathrooms. Took a little to get some spills off the tile. Thought it was fine and clean and went back over my hardwood with a disposable mop pad and still a lot of dirt even after two cleanings with the Shark. I’m not impressed anymore. Taking it back tomorrow. I haven’t tried the tile. I am calling Stanley Steamer because my grout needs to be cleaned in some areas. They have always done my grandparent’s house and floors look like new after. I was not expecting professional results btw but something easy and quick. It did leave my hardwood full so I have to polish it. Curious as to an alternate floor cleaner now.

Your floors may have been dirtier than you thought. I just bought this today and I hadn’t cleaned my floors in a while so i have to go back over with it a second time because once the steam mop picks up a lot of nastiness it’ll stop cleaning properly so I’m thinking a few times of going over it should do the trick. My hard wood in front of my front door however feels amazing.

Hey I'm a carpet cleaner myself, I try to inform customers that plug in wall equipment have very little power. It's mainly to maintain the light dirt. When it come to grout cleaning and remove long term stains on tile, you will need a professional machine. Most use a gas high pressure machine that reach up to 1500 psi to remove tough stains. Hope this helps you

If you're looking to remove the shine off of your floors then this is the mop for you. I got this for Christmas and was so eager to use it , really enjoyed how it steamed and the spinning seemed like a great idea. It's been around a month now and I've noticed my floors look dull and with no shine at all. I was thinking maybe it was the salt from the outside (salt to melt the snow) but I think it is definitely the mop. I'm really upset as my entire floor colour has changed and just looks terrible. Definitely think about what's happening with this mop it's scrubbing the finish off of your floors little by little like a sander.

I noticed the same on the porcelain tiles. The floor looks dull. The grout needs to be cleaned as well, but this mop doesn't do the job. I had to go back and clean the grout again with another mop. Also I have noticed with the hot steam the grout is drying out and cracking.

Try using distilled water. Might take a few cleanings, also if any previous cleaners had wax in them. A traditional mop of Vinegar water mix can remove both. Then use distilled water steam from then on. Softeners/adds like scented booster beads, in laundry detergent might leave residue in pads too. Again a wash with vinegar water, or non softener detergent might help.

I just received the mop with only two cycles and no lights, but it's fine for me. I agree it's cumbersome removing the left-over water from the small tank. This was a design mistake as far as I'm concerned, But the good news is I was able to cut a small piece of clear plastic tubing and push it onto the end of a large syringe. I place the tube down into the tank and just draw out the excess water. My husband is a tube feeder so these items were readily available. This sure beats turning the unit upside down!!! By the way - the directions say to only use distilled water. Thanks for your review!

I’ve had my shark for four months, use it almost daily with my Bernese mountain dogs. Anyway, the steam melted the Velcro on the bottom of it. After phone call after phone call with shark I got replacements (they wanted me to Initially pay for it). Got my replacements today…. The Velcro has changed so they clearly know it’s an issue. It’s black now instead of white. Yet these things fit in the base of this thing terribly and they give you zero directions on how to make the repair. Sharks customer service is terrible to say the least, guy sounded half asleep and I got hung up on and no phone call back. Why are they taking all your info down if they’re not going to call you back if you get disconnected with all the waiting they make you do and live streaming to prove your machines broken. My next step is to epoxy these pieces in once this dries out. If that don’t work I’ll ship it to shark and they can shove it…

It's very pricey! $179!!! But I didn't see the STEAM part of the mop. what was the red mopper you used? Does it do the same as the Shark?
@VacTech12 жыл бұрын
Inflation has affected the floorcare industry, I've noticed. Sad. The other mop I used is the Haan Multiforce Pro. I have a video review of it on my channel. Thanks for watching!

Can you please let me know the name of your other machines your using to polish the floor
@VacTech13 жыл бұрын
Sure. I use my Bissell Spinwave, and my Haan Multiforce Pro. They can agitate without steam/solution, so they're great for applying floor polish.

So no solution (liquid cleaner)? Just water? Can we fill the tank with something?
@VacTech18 ай бұрын
Yep, only water. Cleans with steam only, no chemicals. Only water should be added to the tank on the machine.
