Start hunting sharks again - install machine gun on helicopter , start patrolling areas where people swim and get rid off sharks big enough to attack humans . sharks are useless anyway . hunting sharks instills fear of humans in sharks and that is also additional deterrent hunt sharks like decades ago it saved people and got rid off shark overpopulation . it is logical solution That's how it is done- Great whites, bull sharks, and tiger sharks are not essential components of the environment. There are hundreds of other shark species capable of fulfilling the roles of these large predators. It's important to avoid perpetuating misleading information promoted by the environmental industry, which profits from well-intentioned but gullible individuals. Earth belongs to humanity, and this includes our oceans. We have the ability to shape and steward our planet, creating a balanced environment. IT IS CALLED TERRAFORMING ,

@HomeByTheSeas Deb wasn't the captain, John was 🤦 she probably trusted him to do his job as he was experienced. She shouldn't have to double check everything. Though I think she was pretty selfish to just jump off the boat at the first sign of danger, and not grab any survival gear. She speaks down about Matt but at least he had the sense to grab a dingy, without him and Brad, she'd have been dead within the hour.

@@kiiingst0n Deb was the MOST experienced sailor and failed some pretty basic things. It should be natural to double check but for some reason she got her experience and went of to serve under a drunkard. @@raq540 I agree, there are a few moments where the reenactments don't perfectly align with the first hand accounts. I am sure there was a bit of "creative license" taken with the direction of the actors and the scene could have been filmed weeks or even months apart from the retellings of the story, I doubt the reenactments got a certified stamp of approval from the actual survivors so to speak. Not that they were intentionally misleading or anything, but I think if the man who was actually there says he abandon her, then I'll take his word for it and assume that John was probably a bit more lucid than portrayed.

The over aggressive sharks you never know, unless they happened to be in a spot with a lot of sharks. I thought the one guy was going to rape her on the boat. Why did he want to go in the water off the boat with sharks? just to stretch his legs for sex? Plus, right after his friend was in the water that got eaten by one. He might of been that delusional though because the woman who told the story also said they were really losing it now for a while after (which is natural to get delusional to drink so much salt water. Hmmm Maybe in a tiny life raft they all got on each others nerves, angry that he let the emergency raft float away with all the ness equipment they needed to survive. They start fighting and these two pushed the others overboard and blamed the sharks. It's strange how these two dive into the very same shark infested waters as soon as help arrives. In my opinion this is one of the best, if not the best episode of the series. It is both tragic and heroic. An extraordinary tale told so powerfully by the survivors. Bravo to all involved in the making of this film.

Oh so glad to find an updated version of this tale. The greatest adventure ever told, although some parts are tragic and sickening. This is even better than that "76" tale. Debbie was an amazing woman and sailor. Each character was so colorful and so unique. I think Debbie died young, and she never really got over this episode in her life.
