She's selling butter for gods sake, no other products realistically. Most people don't get an offer with one product on a home scale. How much will it cost to get her factories to start producing on a large scale. It's not the charity tank and they want to see their money back with interest so yeah.

Sometimes I think Steve purposely throws out worse deals than the other sharks in order to make the entrepreneurs feel like they should definitely take the other sharks deals because even though they may not be great deals they’re still better than Steve’s.

It's called due diligence. The Sharks send in a team of exec's to analyze the businesses they made deals with on the show to see how economically viable they are. Often details get omitted or misconstrued during the pitch leading to a deal but the truth comes out once the accountants get a hold of the books and the deal is off.
