If Cuban was on here, he'd put all the other sharks in their places. My god they were rude. He did nothing wrong. Talks fast? It's how he is. Great pitch, great company. Hope he does well so these sharks have to roll their eyes every time they see his company name.

He answered Naomi's question about sales at lightning speed. That was the first time he talked fast -- until then he was speaking at perfectly normal pace -- and it felt super dodgy like he was trying to hide the numbers. I think it hurt trust and annoyed the sharks, and that just ruined their perception/reception of everything else after. Janine would've been better off just calling it out rather than try to dance around the question of integrity with half-hearted, half-aggressive humor. I think a big part of the reason they were hostile was because there was that unresolved mistrust, kinda like when your significant other has their feelings hurt about something, won't tell you what it is, and so they snap at you for completely unrelated things until the underlying issue is resolved.

He spoke at a normal pace until Naomi's question about sales. Then he *sped* through the answer so fast you couldn't understand him. *That's* when they started being hostile. It might have been nerves or accidental, which is probably why they didn't call him out (though they should have to give him a chance to restore trust), but it wasn't anything to do with smarts. They didn't trust him, and they hate feeling like someone's trying to pull one over on them.

what a shame, they felt superior and felt their ego was broken so they acted disrespectfully, RESPECT IS ALWAYS THE FIRST THING TO LEARN no matter if you're a multimillionaire or a poor man
@dismalthoughts
@dismalthoughts Жыл бұрын
Ironically, I think part of the issue is that they were _trying_ to be respectful (at first, sort of). Bear with me. He answered Naomi's question about sales at lightning speed. And that was the first time he talked fast -- up until then he was speaking at a perfectly normal pace. It felt super dodgy like he was trying to hide the numbers. Other guests have talked fast, and the sharks let it be for a while before saying something, if they even said anything at all. I'm pretty sure Janine spoke up straight away because it immediately stunk, but in case it was innocent she didn't want to explicitly call his integrity into question. That's where the respect bit comes in. He instantly killed their trust (or at least mine), but they couldn't say for sure it was intentional, so they didn't want to explicitly say he looked like he was trying to hide things. I think a big part of the reason they were hostile was because there was that unresolved distrust, kinda like when your girlfriend has her feelings hurt about something, won't tell you what it is, and so she snaps at you for completely unrelated things until the underlying issue is resolved. Should've just been straight up about it so that he could reassure them it was nerves, repeat the sales info at an understandable pace, and restore trust before moving forward.
