Im a switch player and cant wait for these updates. The napalm ring update is huge!! I runined my whole slime hutch during the end of the day one time and lost my chest with rare slime eggs so I resetted.

The napalm ring update is amazing but I’m upset it didn’t apply to the GI farm map as well. I have lost far too many bee houses to those tiger slimes 🥲

I recently discovered that in 1.6, the Adventurer's Guild hours were changed. It's now open until 2:00 am instead of 10:00 pm. I kind of wish it opened earlier instead, but it is helpful when you want to sell off stuff after a dungeon run. Thanks for creating this video, Sharky, it's very helpful! It's hard to pick a favorite, but I'm grateful for the change to rug placement so I don't pick them up anymore.

My favorite that wasn't mentioned was bee houses working with flowers planted in garden pots now. Absolute game changer that you don't need to waste precious crop space on honey farms now, especially on the island. Also despite the update saying slime eggs can no longer spawn on crafted flooring in the slime hutch now, that was actually always the case. At least as long as I've been playing anyway (I started late last year in 1.5)

Yeah that's what I remembered from the one time I built it, in 1.5. You'd fence off the slimes and put crafted flooring underneath them so the eggs would only spawn outside of it. This way you don't need that slime ring etc.

The biggest QoL change of the patch wasn't even mentioned: You can now open geodes/buy ores from Clint while he's working on your tool upgrades. No more starting a tool upgrade and getting locked out of opening your 100 geodes. Also, honestly, I think the new combination to buy 999 of an item is too awkward to use, I prefer the old method of just holding down Ctrl+Shift+Rightclick to rapidly buy 25 of an item at a time, which takes around 3 seconds to get a full stack of 999.

Honestly? My favorite QOL change wasn't mentioned. Just the quicker harvesting correction! To harvest the same speed whether going right to left, left to right...up to down...whatever...amazing. All the rest are great, but I love the farming, so that takes the cake for me! (Oh, and the rug thing is bomb too....hated always picking up the darn rug when trying to decorate)

I think my favorite change is to have my cute little cats scoot out of a doorway more quickly. They could mess up my timing when I was trying to hurry! One change I would really love to see is enlarging the basement, maybe to go under the new dining room. My farmers would like to be able to process more starfruit wine at a time, but they must allow space for cheese processing, you know. My granddaughters taught me how to play this game and I'm very glad they did. :) How did you manage to get two of the bear statues? Did you "borrow" Gus's?

If on a multiplayer farm, all the players get their own set of museum rewards. Alternatively, and most likely option, he probably used the mod he briefly showed at 6:35, which is the CJB Item Spawner mod. It lets you spawn in any item in the game in your inventory. It can obviously trivialize the game, or you can just use it for cosmetic stuff when decorating.

when is he going to let shane take over the shop for marnie on her numerous off days. It would be great for players who buy feed rather than grow it, and shane loses his job after joja is booted out of town, so this would be helpful for him as well. Lord knows I get tired of needing to shop there only for her to be effed off somewhere

In your 2nd year, you can buy the Animal Catalogue from Marnie to buy things at any time! :] A now vanilla version of the Self Serve mod

at Clint's shop you can also now after 1.6.3(if I'm correct) you can break geodes WHILE Clint is working on upgrading one gear of yours, and that is SUPER HUGE, finally we can open geodes and etc while he's upgrading stuff

one thing i recently figured out was that combat trinkets do not “activate” in slime hutches. i was taking off my magic quiver every time i went in to check on my slimes until one time i forgot and started freaking out thinking all my slimes would get killed 😅

Delay at vendor window. I don't know how many times in early game, with limited money, I would go to the Traveling Cart to see if she had anything I needed for the CC and I wound up buying some random item and spending precious money I didn't want to spend just by opening the window and it registering a double click action!! Thank you Concerned Ape!! Oh, and Crab Pots! I am actually using them more now in my saves because they aren't aggravating me making me want to fling them across the Gem Sea!! 😀

I cannot wait to have more crab pots (waiting for update on switch). I always limited how many I had due to constantly picking them back up again. I also gave up on the profession that lets you skip using bait, because it was so difficult to collect from them without picking them back up unless I was carrying a stack of bait to reload the pot.

You can also hold down rightclick to rapidly increase the stack by 25 at a time. Very handy and honestly I find it way more convenient than the awkward new button combination.

I haven't seen anyone mention this, but I noticed that if you close a fence while standing in between it, the fence won't break. This makes checking on your animals much easier. If you hold the interact button while going through a fence, it will open and then close almost immediately, preventing any animals from escaping.

You could buy bigger stacks than 5 before, too. Ctrl+Shift+left click gives you a stack of 25, and that's still the case. Just in case you're unaware and sometimes wish there was a middle ground between 5 and 999 😅

be aware if playing on ps5 that there is a good chance that your game will semi crash when you’re in the mines. you will not be able to pick up any items and objects do not disappear after being destroyed. you can sometimes fix it by leaving the mines and returning but sometimes you have to completely reset the game. so frustrating

Love all of these changes, especially the moving while watering/hoeing, that used to mess me up 😂 My eternal wish when it comes to QOL is to make it clear when a quest asks for some items, that they need to be gathered from scratch and can't just waltz up to Clint with a stack of copper you hoarded in your chests. My one-track mind sees X resources needed = have resource in chest = accept quest...only to then discover it doesn't count. Like even when you get the item on the day you accept the quest but only get to give it to the person on the next day, it won't count and it makes me super paranoid about all quests.
